Wake Up Church
I was in a sleep period. I awoke to see two men seated close together with their heads leaning in towards each other. I walked over to where they were and I could tell they were quietly praying. I leaned in, put my head close to theirs, and prayed, “Wake up church, wake up”. One of the men said, “That’s it.” He agreed with what he sensed in the Spirit. Then, I went and sat back down where I was previously and watched the two men. Again, they leaned in with their heads and began praying. Once again, I walked over to where they were at and placed my head next to theirs and prayed, “Wake up church, wake up.” The two men said, “that’s it, that’ it.”
The message to Sardis
He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3 So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.
Morning after moring for over a month now the Spirit of the Lord had directed me to read and meditate on Daniel 2:21-22
“It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.
“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.”
The Aramaic word for epoch is zeman, which means a to fix, appoint. The the root word of zeman mean appoint occasion, season, time. The word times means seasons
One of the functions of the seer/prophet is to speak about what God is about to doing or about to do in the earth. The Spirit of the Lord had revealed to me on numerous occasion what He is doing or about to do in the earth. Now the Spirit says that it is time for His church to wake up. That should be our prayer for this hour. “Wake up church, wake up”.
The church (ekelesia: called out ones) is asleep. Jesus spoke in Luke 13:35-36 to “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36 Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks.”
When Christ returns we are to be found “doing” Christ ministry here on earth by following the unction of Holy Spirit and presenting ourselves continually before the living God. We are to put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, getnleness and patience…Col. 3: 12-17
Colossians 3:12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
We have been in the time of delay since the first century church according to Apostle Paul’s gospel. Paul spoke of being alert and expecting the return of the Messiah at any moment. However, now, at the end of the age, the Spirit of the Lord is calling His church to wake up, alert and start doing the things of Chist.
Luke 12: 35-40
“Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36 Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. 38 Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.
39 “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 40 You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.”
The parable of the ten virgins shows that as the bridgroom was delaying they all got drowsy and began to sleep. Then at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet Him.’
Matthew 25: 1-13
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5 Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. 6 But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11 Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.
May may the blessing of knowledge and understanding of the things of God be made manifest in your life.
