Now It’s Time to Rebuild the Temple
On the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Hebrew year Tishri 17, 5773, (9/21/2013) I entered into my morning quiet time before the Lord and was led to read Haggai 1:1-5.
“In the second year of Darius the king, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came by the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, 2 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘This people says, “The time has not come, even 3 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house lies desolate?” 5the time for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt.”’” Haggai 1:1-5
Then I was led to read Haggai 2 where the builders were encouraged by the prophetic word of God to rebuild the temple.
“2 On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet saying, 2 “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying, 3 ‘Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison? 4 But now take courage, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord, ‘take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the Lord of hosts. 5 ‘As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’ 6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. 7 I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. 8 ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:1-9
These very verses were given at the time of the re-building of the second temple after Israel returned from captivity in Babylon. I believe the Father showed me that it’s the time in the prophetic calendar for the 3rd temple in Jerusalem to be rebuilt. I believe the Lord is now placing a greater stirring nationally among the people in Israel to establish the third temple. How this comes to pass isn’t clear but at the present date the Secretary of State, John Kerry, is pushing all parties involved to make a peace deal which could lead to the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. However it happens we know that God’s word will not return to Him void of accomplishing what it was sent to do.
Woe to America and any nation for being a part of the dividing up of Israel, the apple of God’s eye. Surely our nation will be broken and divided and our borders reduced if part of the peace agreement calls for Israel to give up more land.
“I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.” Joel 3:2
I do believe it will happen soon, perhaps this year. Israel has made all the preparation necessary to rebuild the temple. Will a peace agreement be reached and will it include such a provision within it. Be in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel.
May God bless you with understanding of His Spiritual truth.
Please read the Bible verses below which speak of the third temple.
We know by Old Testament and New Testament scriptures that a third temple will be in place during the tribulation. In order that the Abomination of Desolation, recorded in Daniel ninth chapter may take place there must be a third temple.
15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”
24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place. 25 So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. 26 Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. Daniel 9:24-27
31 Forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation. 32 By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.
“From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.” Daniel 12:11
No Outer Court (Gentile Court)
Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. 3 And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” Revelation 11:1-3
