Vision – Christ Church
During morning quiet time I saw a vision of a small car running along real good until it high centered upon a block of wood. The back wheels were spinning away but the car wasn’t going anywhere. The occupants didn’t seem to notice that no forward progress was being made whatsoever. Then the Lord impressed upon me that the block of wood represents man’s religious doctrines and how it high centered the church which Christ built.
End of vision
Early on even in the days of the apostles many of Christ’s doctrines were being shed in favor of pagan teachings and traditions.
‘For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 2 Tim. 4:3-4
Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees, “”But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Matt 23:13
In the book of Jude records the effect of man’s doctrine upon the body of Christ which denied Jesus as Master and Lord and His grace was replaced with performance and works.
“For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:4
The ones who over the many centuries, beginning at the end of the first century, replaced Christ’s teachings with their own and began to take control of the people at the same time hiding behind the appearance of Godliness just like the scribes and Pharisees did. Jude described them as;
“hidden reefs in your love feast when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves, clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, double dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever. Jude 12-13
These men are in impersonators since they assume the character or appearance of a godly man but are especially fraudulently in their motives. As Jude 12 says, “caring for themselves, clouds without water.” If you ever been in a drought and experienced a cloud develop and begin to thunder, produce lightning and some wind but no rain then you know what the Lord was describing in the book of Jude. Many ministers talk the talk but in their hearts they don’t walk the walk.
Today, many in the church system are teach to watch for the “apostasy” to come firs,t as if it is a future event, and then the anti-christ soon follows. When in fact if you carefully study the history of the early church it is clear that the great falling away began to occur at the end of the first century when the apostles passed away.
“Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the *apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 2 Th 2:3
Revelation chapter 2, introduces the Nicolations and warns of their false teachings. The name Nicolations means, “conquer of the people.” These are the people that took over Christ’s Church by appointing themselves as leader over the people. Diotrephes was such a man. He loved to be first among the congregation and took no instructions from the apostles and you could add from God either. Diotrephes accused the apostles with wicked words, and controlled who attended his church meetings. He cast out people who didn’t go along with his doctrine and accused others of doing what he was actually doing.
“I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say. For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not receive the brethren, either, and he forbids those who desire to do so and puts them out of the church.” 3 JN 1:9-10
There are many Diotrephes leading the congregations today all over the world. They have have high centered Christ’s Church upon a wooden block and are in control but Christ’s mission is being held back from accomplishing what He wants to do.
“For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Cor. 11:13-15
Paul warned to be on guard of Alexander the coppersmith.
“Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. Be on guard against him yourself, for he vigorously opposed our teaching.” 2 Ti. 4:14-14
“I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!” Gal. 1:6-8
And the Bible warns us about the mystery of the Babylonia spirit, which is the driving influence behind the church system. Babylon is carnal mindness, fleshy and exalts “self” over the preeminence of God. Leaving spiritual Babylon is difficult because it provides identity, security, position and sufficiency. It becomes a stronghold in the mind of people raised up in it. We become “institutionalized as the character Brooks was in the movie Shawshank Redemption.
“And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” Rev. 17: 5-6
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Rev 18:4-5
So if you are one of those who is looking for the “falling way” to occur all you have to do is review what the apostles were saying would happen and what is written in Revelation to understand that it has already occurred and you haven’t even recognized it for what it truly is…the Harlot of Babylon…the Great Whore. All though you may be an sincere follower and there are millions like yourself in the world, error is error and the church system is the greatest deception ever imposed on mankind and it can’t be fixed, t must be abandoned. Truly, you must turn to Jesus Christ and enter into a true relationship with Him.
A few verses in which Jesus warned of the consequences of serving self…
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt. 7:21-23
