Is God Humorous?

Is there proof in the scriptures that God has a sense of humor?

In Exodus 32:7 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, “Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have corrupted {themselves.} In v.37 Then Moses entreated the LORD his God, and said, “O LORD, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

It appears that the LORD was messing with Moses’ head by not claiming any responsibility for these people. A study of the entire history of this story it is quite evident that the miracle of deliverance from Egypt was scripted and empowered by the LORD.

Read some of the humorous stories that clearly show our God does indeed have a sense of humor. Thanks to those who submitted their funny testimonies for this blog.

On one trip my wife and I had spent most of the day in waiting line either to eat, park our car, at customer check in or boarding the vessel. Once on board an in our room I said to God, “This would be allot more fun except for the lines” He immediately responded with, “There’s even a line to get in heaven”. BN

A lady caught me in the hallway of the church and excitedly began to tell me this story about what God had done and all the things that were happening in her life. As she spoke I listened carefully but didn’t hear where God was in anything she had said. After she walked away I said to God “I didn’t get much out of that!” I heard Him say “Me either!” I just laughed as I walked away. BN

At church one night, the preacher seemed to me to be quite ‘flamboyant’ and I told the Lord, “He really is a show-off.” After service, I climbed on my Harley motorcycle and as I left the parking lot, I ran through my five gears as loudly and as quickly as I could. I heard Him say to me, “Is he a show-off, sort of like you?” JN

God had been training me for some time about speaking into people’s lives…He said “It’s very important that you not only SAY the specific words I said…but that you say them IN THE WAY I SAID THEM. If you leave out the compassion or the authority, the message won’t have its full effect in their lives.” I said “Yes, Lord, but I don’t ever want to be SO COMPASSIONATE that I don’t speak tough words when I need to! I don’t want to go too far on the side of gentleness!” He said “You’re not in ANY danger of that!” I laughed because I have never been known to be TOO GENTLE…quite the opposite at times. WM

I was praying for a girl I had been spending some time with that was making poor choices in her life. I was very fervent in prayer, crying, speaking Word over her. I said, “Father, I have such compassion because I WAS THAT GIRL! I remember being where she is & making those choices she’s making! I have felt WHY she’s choosing it and I understand the bondage involved. OHHHH I REMEMBER HOW THAT FEELS!” He said, “Well, you should! It wasn’t that long ago!” I cracked up because He is so funny! WM

For a period time God would wake me up at 3:33 AM and I would seek Him as to what I He wanted me to do. One morning He woke me up at 3:22 AM and I was puzzled as to what this meant. I asked God “Father what does 3:22 mean to you?” I heard Him say “Its eleven minutes before 3:33AM!” I cracked up at His humor. The next morning He woke me up at 3:44 AM. I starred at the clock and just burst out laughing and said “God I don’t even need to ask.” BN

When in a Prayer Service & saw a vision of myself standing with my arms held out behind me. There was a thick substance dripping off of me. I said “OH wow….Lord, is that ANOINTING dripping off of me?!” He said, “No…not yet….that’s the OLD MAN!” WM

On the one anniversary of my survival of a motorcycle accident, where I should have died but miraculously walked away, I just wanted to honor God for His mercy and faithfulness in a very special way. Should I go into my secret place to pray and praise Him? What should I do? So I said, “Lord in ten minutes it will be one year to the day that I survived that awful wreck. I want to honor you in a special way so what would you like me to do?” I heard Him say “I want you to out to the garage in ten minutes and start up your bike and rev it up three times as loud as you can just to let the Devil know you’re still alive and well”! That’s exactly what I did. I rejoiced and praised Him for being the awesome God we serve! BN

About 8 years ago, after a long 5 years staying in offence and reaping much pain and loss in spiritual growth……..and in a “financial hell”….I had occasion to “go there” (to “offence”) again. God said to me as clearly as He has ever spoken to me. He said….”that is an expensive trip…and you can’t afford it.” Oh, how very true….I’ve never forgotten it…..and thankfully have chosen to never make that “trip” again! Hallelujah! B

I was moving a small podium from where it was placed and as I lifted it and sat it down I said, “Father, holy righteous hands have touched this podium” and then I heard Him say, “And just did”. BN

I had been hearing allot of things from God over a period time years ago and one morning during quiet time I asked God for a scripture. I was all excited when I heard Him say Proverbs 12:3. I hurriedly opened my bible and turned to the verse to see what God was saying to me. Proverbs 12: 3 reads, “A righteous man has regard for the life of his animal, But {even} the compassion of the wicked is cruel”. I cracked up laughing because I had promised God I would feed the fish in my fish tank the night before and forgot and went to bed. So a righteous man must take care of his animals…BN

Well a few things really stick out more than others so I will tell those. During a time in my early walk with the Lord, Jas and I were living in the little church we pastored. I was in a time of really seeking who God was in my life cause I had always know him (in religion) to be this strict deity who was just “waiting” for me to fall so he could put some disease on my or something…shabush….He was showing me a side of Him that was quite the contrary. In quiet time, I would hear him chuckle…then I would chuckle because He was chuckling. I learned to have fun in the presence of God and laugh with him in those times. During that same time I was asking about moving out of the tiny little Sunday school rooms and perhaps find an apt or house to rent. Wanting to stay in His perfect will for my life I went to Him. In tears I sought His face for guidance and finally, ever so gently I heard him say, “Psalm 23″. Being a familiar passage I began to quote it and he said, “No, read it…” I was obedient and quickly looked it up and my eyes were lead to the bottom part of the passage as it reads,” 6Surely* goodness and mercy* shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.*

I actually heard him giggle inside and say, “Not really….” We moved the following week….JS

I heard one speaker recently tell of how once told him while he was in the pulpit preaching to “livening it up at bit down there, you’re boring us up here!” His method of delivery changed from that day forth.

God’s not religious, stuffy, boring or any of those kind of things. He’s alive, refreshing, vibrant and He has a great sense of humor.

  • Why Honor is Vital

Why Honor?Jesus is the King of all Glory and Honor.I asked the Father what is honor?

    1. Honor believes God’s purpose and will are being manifested in and through other Christians and that they too are in right standing with God.

    2. Honor removes judgment from your heart.

    3. Honor positions you for promotion.

    4. Honor provides you with the mechanism to advance in all areas of your life.

    5. Honor says, “Salute”, when you feel like slapping someone.

    6. Honor gives your heart the open door to My throne to come in with all boldness and excitement.

Note: God’s heart is to honor all and to see all as His creation even though He risks being hurt by the ones who refuse to see the truth. God still honors their right for you to be wrong.

    Restrictions on God / Others!

Many Christians have put restrictions on what they will allow to be confronted in their life by God.

I was given a dream where I was working as a landscaper and there was a old woman (represents Holy Spirit) who gave me a detailed tour of each person’s yard in the neighborhood. The lady said, “This one wants only the front yard mowed but do not touch the back yard at all.

Then she showed me the next house and said, “Now this one will allow their back yard to be mowed but don’t touch the front yard. Some houses had hedges that were over grown but in no way was I to touch them. After this I was shown the rest of the houses in this neighborhood and told what each one wanted and what they didn’t want done to their property.

I looked across the street and there was one house which the roof had caved in. The house was now full of hay stacked as high as where the roof used to be. This house represented peoples lives who refuse to allow God to mainicure and do landscapping in their lives. This one house was in a more advanced stage of decay. I said, “How could anyone remember what each person wants”?

The yard’s represent those areas in our life where God wants to use His landscaper (people, people in ministry, authoritive figures, people who oppose us, Holy Spirit, etc…) to come in and work freely in order to beautify the entire home. Wouldn’t you like a sign in your yard that said, “Lawn of the Month “?

God is a consuming fire and wants you to put yourself into His fire and allow the dead things in you to be burned up. Don’t draw back from Him. The quickest correction I have ever received from the Lord was by doing just that, drawing back!

Scripture reference: Jn. 15: 1-11, Heb. 12:29 for our God is a consuming fire.

Why Christians Fail to Make Progress?

Rising profitsWhen webput up a boundary in any area of our life we limit God. Self imposed boundaries limit what God can do in your life. Often the boundaries are developed from unresolved issues in our life, either from parents, associations, tragic events, rejection, low self image, etc.

God refuses to give up on us and allow these areas to go unchallenged. These un-dealt limitations show up when we interface with people in authority, such as persons appointed to one of the 5 fold offices, authority figures such as a supervisor/manager, parent, teachers, personal relationships, even in how we react to company/church policy or policy changes. These limitations continue to cause you to act out as a rebel, however subtle it may be.

Definition of a Rebel and Their Characteristics

A rebel is someone who is opposing or taking arms against a government or ruler, refusing or neglecting to obey, resisting treatment or management and is disobedient, against, bitter, wants to always change things to their liking, grievous, initiates provocations, stubborn, revolters that produce revolting acts & debates, backsliders, one who turns away from truth and withdraws.

    Signs That You Are Rebellious

When we encounter levels of authority we tend to challenge it head on or perhaps in a more subtle manner reflected in our attitude towards others, or against policy changes or procedure.

Rebels are touchy & easily offended, needing special care.

Often a rebel will disassociated themselves from authority figures placed in their life because they will not submit from their heart. This is because they aren’t not fully submitted to God in the first place.

A rebel will throw up boundaries around areas of their life to keep people of authority out because the rebel wants to always be in control.

A rebel wants you to provide them with information while all the time shutting you out from their life. This is a subtle form of control.

A rebel will go from person to person seeking counsel so they can hear sweet words but will not press into God for His guidance in these matters.

A rebel first begins by distances themselves from leadership authority. This shows up in their performance. They may do what you ask but it may not be with their best effort.

A rebel will often ignore specific request by not producing the desired results.

Romans 2:1-13 (v13.) It is the doers of the Word who are justified.

Col. 3:22 Servants, obey in all things [your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God. V. 23 And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men v. 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

  • Holy Spirit Our Helper

Often when Christians think of Holy Spirit they only see Him as a helper in their spiritual walk and not in their day to day activities. Truly He will teach us all things and help us when we are reliant upon him.helperYears ago when I was a babe in Christ, I worked a job being responsible for a common carrier microwave video carrier network that covered hundreds of miles across Texas. Many times I would get called on an outage and be on the job site until I completed the repairs. Back then, we did component level repairs of almost all equipment, which means we diagnosed on site whatever the problem and came up with a fix to restore service to our customers.

I was on call one Saturday morning, and received a call that a particular piece of equipment malfunctioned about thirty miles from home. After many hours of on-site diagnostics, I removed the piece of equipment and took it back to the repair shop. I worked and cannibalized some other equipment to make the proper repairs.

When the sun rose on Sunday morning, I believed I had repaired the problem but I wasn’t really confident that it was going to work. I drove thirty miles back to the job site, pulled up to the gate and said to myself, “I sure hope this works.” Immediately, I heard Holy Spirit say to me, “Try it, it’ll work.” My confidence soared; I had heard God in the matter. I thought I’d been working all night alone, but I had a helper right by me saying, “Try it, it’ll work.”

I went into the facility, walked up to the equipment bay, installed the piece of equipment and powered it up. The equipment usually would immediately blow a fuse, but this time it came on line and the problem was solved! I was amazed that God cared about such a non-Bible matter.

Many times that job kept me out of church services and sometimes I would be confronted by well-meaning church members chastising me for working on Sunday and missing church. They looked at me as less than themselves; they looked at my situation and not my heart.

Now, I was certain that God was concerned about my minute issues as well as the spiritual matters in my life. Even if my job took me away from church meetings from time to time, it didn’t take me away from Him. After all Jesus didn’t say, “I’ve come to give you meetings and meetings more abundantly.” But He did say, “I’ve come to give you life and life more abundantly.” John 10:10

Later in my career, I was employed in a management role, my senior director called me requesting I come to his office. He didn’t say what he wanted, so as I walked the fifty or so steps to his office, I began to pray for witty ideas and for favor with my boss.

As I arrived at his office, I found him to be very distracted by personal matters. He was in a quandary over what he should speak about at a Toastmasters meeting the next day during lunch. He needed to give his speech as an outline based subject matter, and he couldn’t think of anything.

I sat there a second, reached for a piece of paper on his desk, and without even looking at it; I handed it to him and said, “Use this!” I didn’t know what I had given him, but when I saw the look on his face, I knew the God in me had moved, and He had moved in a miraculous way. The paper I handed him was an itemized list of company guidelines and successful business practices.

He stared at it the paper, then at me, then back at the paper, and then at me for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly, he went into jubilation and said, “This is exactly what I need, how did you do that!?” I just smiled and we chuckled together.

As we discussed some other company issues, several times he interrupted himself, looked at me and said, “I still don’t know how you did that!” My boss was a believer, but to my knowledge, he had never witnessed anything like this. I kept on my best poker face during the time in his office, but as soon as I got away, I could no longer contain my exuberant gratefulness to my God and my Helper.

It seems I often exhaust all my efforts on a dilemma before I surrender for the Helper to get involved, but I’m learning more and more to go to Him first and request His help. I just shared two stories, spanning thirty years or more, yet there are many other times my Helper has delivered me when in dire straits. It’s true, that if it’s our business it’s His business. Before Jesus went to the cross he told of God’s plan to send us a Helper which is Holy Spirit and that He is the Spirit of truth.

John 14:16-17 “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;{that is} the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, {but} you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

John 16:7 “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

John 16: 13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

1 Peter 5:7 “casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

  • Do Not Judge According To Appearance

CB065532“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Jn. 7:24Why is it so easy for us to look upon someone’s appearance and make a quick judgment about who they are?

I ask the Lord today, “Why is it that when I look upon someone that doesn’t fit my standards that I have a downward glance on them?” He responded saying, “When you raise yourself into the seat of judgment you are always looking downward.”

On our return trip from Moravian Falls, North Carolina, on the way to the airport, I noticed a car filled with less that affluent people. My eyes fixed upon the man in the passenger seat and I remember saying to myself, “Does he know God? Does he have faith at all in you Father?”

Later down the road we stopped and filled our rental car with fuel, and who do you think I saw coming out of the convenient store at the same time I was going in? It was the very man that only a moment earlier I had questioned his faith. The man was dressed in a nice suit, and as he held the door open for my wife and I to exit, I said to him, “You look nice, did you bring the message today?” He chuckled and replied, “No we’re on our way to a funeral.” He went on to tell me that some friends had four month old twins and one of them had died. The man said to me, “When the twin died, the remaining twin rolled over in the crib and gave his brother a kiss. It was a miracle! We all witnessed it!”

I could see how this miracle had brought great comfort to the family at this sad time in their lives. Here I was encountering a man’s heart, when only minutes earlier I was judging if he had any faith at all. In this wonderful moment I encountered the Father’s ever-teaching and guiding hand, an encounter with the divine nature of God.

Two men’s lives were crossing at one point in time, yet I am the man that needed to change, and has been changed forever. While writing about this encounter, it has brought me a sorrowful heart with weeping and tears. I now have a heart that knows God better than before this divine encounter.

When I think about the question I asked the man, “Did you bring the message today?” I can now answer for him “Yes sir I did, you wanted rhema word from the Father and I gave it to you!”

“For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Mat. 7:22

“For the sorrow that is according to {the will} {of} God produces a repentance without regret, {leading} to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Cor. 7:10

  • The Way of Escape

trustIt is said that there are three kinds of Christians at any one time in the body of Christ, those who are about to enter into a trial, those in a trial and those who have just come out of a trial. Today, I fall into the last category of just coming out of a trial; Allow me to explain.
About ten days ago I found my faith and my assignment being challenged by a demonic attack that appears to be sweeping across the body of Christ. This demonic assignment is to separate us away from our appointed assignment in the local body, it’s very much a spirit of abortion for the body of Christ. While under the influence of such an attack I found I couldn’t even put forth a word to describe this feeling.
I laid my heart before God and called His remembrance to all His promises to the believer that are in His word. I would go for walks in the park declaring my faith before Him and keep my heart open before Him. I declared, “Father if there be anything in me that isn’t pleasing to you, show it to me that I may repent of it!”
I prayed in the Spirit allot during the course of the week and I did all I knew to stand under such an attack. I heard Him say, “You have to trust me that I can keep you.”
1 Cor. 10:12-13 says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”
I asked the Father, “How did I get in this place? What did I do to end up here?” I cried out to God for mercy. I remember six years ago I felt as though the grace band around me had been lifted, I felt as I had never known God’s peace or forgiveness, all I could do was to trust Him and stand in faith that I was saved. Then three days later He called me into my secret place and restored me. He was so excited to be with Me again. This current trial lasted for five days, five long days! Then, as suddenly as it began, He restored me with an amazing exuberance and wonderful peace. It must be hard for such a loving God to hide from His children for so many days, but He does it to teach us to be steadfast in Him.
When I woke up last Wednesday morning I knew this attack had lifted. I felt the joy of my salvation once again and I knew that I had endured something meant to take me out of His will for me. I am stronger today for it, so what happened?
Early this morning God gave me a dream and in this dream one man on my right, which represented Holy Spirit, was talking to two men on my left. One was an older man and right beside him was a younger man which was his son. The man on the right said to the older man, “Remember when you couldn’t get a ‘threshold’ and it looked like all progress on the projects would be halted?” The older man said, “Yes, so I made my own.” This older man (Father) was a master carpenter as well as his son (Jesus), I wanted to talk with them but I kept quiet knowing my wisdom couldn’t possible add anything to the conversation.
In this attack of the enemy I was eventually given a ‘threshold’ or a way of escape that the Father provided me. He said in 1 Cor. 10:13 that He would provide the way of escape also, so that I would be able to endure it.It’s the resistance that makes us strong, just like a body builder. The very thing that is resisting us, is what is causing us to become stronger and stronger. In my quiet time this morning I heard Him say, “You were in a battle and it was fierce, but you kept fighting with spiritual prayers. Then I provided a threshold where there was none before and you escaped the enemy’s attack. Didn’t I say I’d make a way of escape?” Well, there is a great example!
To try and put words to how I feel today would be difficult so I will refer to this quote, which was made by someone that I don’t even know, but surely they have been where I have just returned.

“There is a moment when the words inscribed on a page so precisely reflect the pursuit of human truth that the chasm between us and the Divine is bridged, and we are changed!”

    Scripture References: 1 Cor. 10:12-13, Heb. 2 1-35-39

  • Let God Cast the Vision

Proverbs 29:18, says “Where [there is] no vision, the people perish.” The emphasis here is “prophetic vision” berthed by God.Sometimes as Christians, we can be placed into a position that may seem to be too big for our wisdom, knowledge or abilities to accomplish. It is in these kinds of situations that we have to leave our own self-reliance and turn toward God.

Jesus said in Mat. 6:10, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” This verse gives us a model for our lives and especially in any situation which seems to be beyond our own natural abilities or power to achieve.

When asked by church leadership to take on a ministry or project we should approach the throne of God and ask how He wants this ministry or project to be done and then trust Him to reveal it to us. If we allow God to show us what the will of the Father is, then He will put His stamp on it and we will be successful in His eyes.

When my wife and I were asked by our church leadership to begin a new ministry, we knew immediately that we didn’t have a clue how to do it. We didn’t hide it from our pastors that we were clueless in this matter, in fact, we told them we hadn’t even noticed that this ministry was needed. We left the meeting with our pastors and began to ask God to show us His vision for this ministry. We knew we needed His plan to bring about His will and to complete our pastor’s vision. I hate to think about how it would have turned out if we hadn’t started seeking God first.

God then showed me a vision where my wife and I were standing outdoors, we each had a shovel in our hands and were digging a grave-shaped hole. I was thinking “why are we digging a grave”? When we stopped digging, we reached down into the grave and pulled out a person who was dead. As we pulled them up and out of the grave, we dusted them off, and as we cared for them, we saw them come back to life. Then the vision was over, but then we knew what God wanted this ministry to be.The vision cast by God showed us the heart of God in this ministry however, God left it up to us in how we would do things to bring His will to pass. If God had to tell us every little detail of what to do, we would be nothing more than dim-witted people.

Moses didn’t know how to build a tabernacle nor had there ever been a tabernacle on earth; Moses needed God to cast him a vision. God said to Moses, “According to all that I am going to show you, {as} the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct {it.}” Ex. 25:9

When you allow God to show you His vision for a ministry or a project, you will find greater enthusiasm, and in times of doubt, discouragement or seemingly ineffectiveness, be sure and remember the given vision and hold fast to His will.

  • Exercise In Hearing God

HearingHearing God, We just make it so hard as believers to hear God. In my case many years ago when I first heard Him, I was quite taken back. I was on a trip from Texas to Boulder Colorado with two friends that invited me to come along to help with the driving. I didn’t know I was on a trip that would lead me into an awesome destiny with the eternal God.

It just so happened that we got stranded in Colorado Springs and held up in a motel along the Interstate. The next day was Easter Sunday and I got up to go look outside at the beautiful snow on the mountains. As I stared at the beauty of the snow I heard Holy Spirit whisper in my right ear, “Jesus Christ whiter than snow” and then I saw a vision of His blood running down the mountain.

I pulled the curtain closed real quickly; I wasn’t born again. I didn’t know anything really about God other than in my heart I had being crying out to know Him for months and months. I was seriously considering going to Israel to join the IDF so I could get close to something I knew God had His hand on. The next Tuesday I was back in Texas after work and walking in the backyard at my parents house when the Holy Presence of God came rushing at me from the right side. I knew I was a sinner for Holy Spirit comes to convict us of our sin and to reveal the righteousness of God. I dropped to my knees, I repented, and got up differently. So from that day on I have been able to hear Him clearly even though I can’t say I’ve always liked what He had to say.
So as Christians why is it so hard for us to hear God? Isn’t Christianity about relationship? Are not relationships built and based on two-way communications and spending time together? Are we not to put value in communication and time in a relationship to protect it and to nourish it daily? So once again why do we make it so difficult to hear God? We forget we are spirit-men and we haven’t been taught that we are created with the ability to naturally flow to God. Have you ever been to a water park that had a “lazy river”? All you had to do was get into the water and it would carry you around as long as you wanted to stay in. I never noticed anyone paddling against the current because it is easy to see others just going with the flow. You see, you jump in, you flow and it’s that easy.
So once again why is it so hard as Christians to hear God? Our spirit-man naturally flows to God and it will take you there if you don’t paddle against it. Here’s an exercise in hearing God that I believe will help you. Tell your body to be still and quiet (if it has any needs just get a piece of paper and write down its needs and tell it that you will take care of its needs when you’re finished. Next, tell your soul to be quiet, call your spirit-man to attention. (Yes, you can do that…try it)Now just allow you spirit to flow to God, sense His presence. I like to imagine being in the lazy river but this time instead of floating around in a circle, I’m being carried to the presence of God.
Practice, practice, practice and make your daily aim to soak in His presence like a sponge, your life will never be the same!

  • Expectancy

“He will meet us at our level of expectation!”

“What God wants to do and what God can do are two different things.”

“If we raise our level of expectancy concerning any matter, God will not disappoint us. In fact He will exceed our level of expectancy above and beyond what we could think or hope for so He can stretch us to an even higher level of faith in Him.”

I once heard Him say in His authoritative voice, “My people limit Me!”

    Scripture Ref:
Phil. 1:18-20 Yes, and I will rejoice for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but {that} with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Heb. 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

We first must perceive (discern) with our spiritual eyes or spiritual senses that in the Spirit of Christ, provision (supply) has been made which encapsulates our earnest expectation and hope that we will not be put to shame in anything.

I heard Andrew Womack say that years ago he received a request from a mother to come and pray for her daughter who was suffering from a painful and debilitating illness. When he arrived he explained that Jesus has already healed us and that she could have her healing now. Her faith rose and he prayed for her and she was instantly healed. He heard the Father say something like, “The reason I couldn’t heal her any faster was that she believed that her healing would come slowly over a long period of years”. The young lady was limiting God by her expectation.

God wants to do more so let’s raise our level of expectancy higher than ever and see signs and wonders like never before!
