The Prodigal’s Father

The Prodigal’s Father

Date: 11/19/2013

As believers we are most likely familiar with the parable about the prodigal son (LK 15:11:32). The son demanded his share of his father’s estate, the equivalency of declaring his father dead, only to journey off into a distant country where he lived a foolish and frivolous lifestyle. Eventually, he spent all his inheritance and came to the realization that even the servants in his father’s house had it better than he now had it. He then returned home and was accepted with open arms and a kiss from his father, and they all lived happily ever after. This parable has been taught and expounded upon from the view point of the son whom left, and the son who stayed with his father, but I would like to show you something more about this beautiful story. I would like to share with you the prodigal’s fathers view point.

I recently experienced this parable from a different perspective than ever before. I had always seen the parable of the prodigal son from the son’s perspective for indeed I have been a prodigal son much of my life. However, the Father had another lesson to teach me and I hope you learn it too.

OINCEAbout five years ago my wife and I were walking home from teaching a Christian singles group at a neighborhood coffee shop when we spotted a tiny orange kitten trying her best to escape the grabby little hands of three boys. One of the boys quickly grabbed the cat, wrapping his hands around its abdomen from behind, and chaotically ran back in the house, closing the door behind them. We sighed at the poor little kitty’s distress and to the fact we both wanted to rescue that orange tiny kitten from those wild-acting boys.

About six months later, the family, which had the tiny orange kitten, moved out and left the little orange cat behind. As fate would have it, the tiny orange cat found its way to our home, which is only two doors down from where we originally spotted those boys tormenting the little orange creation. We just happened to be in our backyard that day, when suddenly, a hungry, tiny orange malnourished cat came walking into our lives. It was her! It was the tiny little orange kitten we had seen six months prior, two doors down. We quickly grabbed her up and took a closer look. We discovered she had been physically abused by those boys because she didn’t like having her abdomen touched. She will try to bite you if you do even to this day. We also discovered that tail had been broken at the base of the tail. She was malnourished and underweight for her age. She was barely alive. She got her name when the granddaughter saw her orange color but couldn’t pronounce the word “Orange”, but she could say “Oince”, so the named stuck ever since, Oince.

Recently, another cat came into her yard which resulted in a fight between the rogue cat and Oince. Since Oince is small, I often go out to run the offending intruders away. Oince always feels so brave when I am out in front of her scaring away the evil intruder. Well, last Tuesday, I heard cats fighting near the den window, so I went out with a flashlight in hand and ran a black cat out of the yard. However, Oince ran out from under a pepper plant with sheer terror in her eyes. I could see it on her face! I said, “Oh no! She thinks I attacked her.” I tried to console her with a soft voice, but she would have none of it. She apparently had received some wounds from the other cat during the fight. Somehow, in the traumatic events Oince got confused and believed that I was the one who attacked her. She climbed over the backyard gate and left. We saw her the next day in the neighbor’s yard but when we tried to examine her she wanted to bite and then she slipped away. She was gone.

Over the previous six months, the Lord had shown me in several dreams that Oince would leave us and that she would be driven out of her yard. The very yard she loved and had flourished in for five years. The night before the cat fight happened I was given a dream that showed she was about to leave. I just didn’t know that it would be because of me. My heart was broken as I saw her walking down the sidewalk towards the direction she had originally come. She would not respond to our calls. As the dreams had shown me, Oince had left us.

We had given her the best of care. When ill, or wounded from a cat fight, we made sure we took her to the veterinarian for treatment. We always fed her a good nutritious diet, put a collar on her, and have rigged up an insulated box with a heating pad inside, for her to sleep in during the cold winter nights. We had given her our love, our care, but now it didn’t seem to matter now. She had left it all behind.

The weather had turned very cold with nightly temperatures below freezing which made searching the neighborhood looking for the little orange cat all the more important. I was just hoping to get a peek of her so I would know she is still alive and perhaps bring her home.

Then the Father spoke into my heart and said, “Do you feel the pain I feel when my children leave me after all I have done to love them, care for them and give them all that is mine? Do you feel what it’s like to get blamed for the bad things that happen to people in the world when others do them harm although I am innocent of harming anyone?” I carried His words inside me for days pondering the parable of the prodigal son.

Oince SleepingOince returned early Sunday morning after being gone for four days. She was weak from being hungry, dirty and cold, but at least she was alive and we were excited to see her. Cats, when afraid or wounded, will into hiding because they feel vulnerable, sometimes dying where you never can find them. We fed her and kept her inside in a pet carrier overnight due to the cold night outside and to make sure she rested. When morning came we fed her, opened the door and out she went to potty. Afterwards she climbed over the gate and left us again. The very yard she loved to lie in the sun in and patrol as she was a big jungle cat protecting her domain. Once again, she walked down that sidewalk, disappearing from our view but leaving our hearts torn and our souls unsettled.

Again, I saw the Father repeating the lesson to me of the prodigal son from the Father’s point of view. I never realized nor thought about His heart when I left him many years ago as a young Christian and blamed it all on Him when a preacher disciplined me, blaming me for not keeping the deacon’s children quiet during Sunday school. The walls of the church were so thin you could hear every classroom in the building all at the same time. I did my best to keep the boys under control but they were just unruly boys. The one the pastor should have been speaking with was deacon who spawned those creatures. I blamed God for what the preacher did to me and left that church and didn’t won’t anything to do with God.

Many years past and eventually I repented, and just like the prodigal son had found himself in a horrible place in life, so did I. I returned to God, filthy, torn, and corrupted in just about every way. He accepted me back with open arms and had to wash me over and over again to get the filthy, dirty world off of me.  We walked together and I lived before Him daily but once again offense would come my way. “Blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.” Luke 7:23

A few years previous, the Father began to show me revelation about the harlotry of the church system. How vulgar and evil it is to God for His children to be caught up in a relationship to a system instead of being in relationship with Him. I posted these revelations on the Seer of God website and they were read by my pastor, who in turn showed them to my employer and shortly afterward I was let go from my employment but not before they made it very personal.  The Father showed me in advance things the pastor would do and say, even the timing of it, but knowing that didn’t lessen the pain of being betrayed by someone you had trusted and served. The reason he did what he did are dark and hidden in his heart except to God. Revelation can be a terrifying thing for any established religious person. The Pharisees killed Jesus because He was a threat to their livelihood. The revelation I had been given and too many other saints of the harlot church system remains a threat to today’s religious system.

“Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, · my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive her plagues;” Rev. 18:4

I didn’t want it to go down like it did. I tried every way to avoid hurting anyone but the pastors and my employer wouldn’t have it that way. The religious will stop at nothing to protect their livelihood just as the mafia will eliminate anyone who gets out of line. I found myself corned in their ambush meetings, vilified, shunned, betrayed, and quickly let go from my employment all because of what I wrote about the harlotry of the church system. AGAIN, I found myself ousted from the church system.

I let the pain of it cause me to pull back from the Father. One morning in quiet time He asked me a question. “Would you still recommend this walk to someone?” I couldn’t answer Him because I didn’t feel like I could recommend this walk to another soul on earth. I asked Him, “Why did it have to go down like it did?” He responded only with, “Psalms 23:4.”

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me;” Ps. 23:4

Those words spoken in Psalms 23:4 began the healing process. Even though it was ugly in the valley and some of the darkest of days in my life and for my family, the Almighty was telling me that He was there with me through the entire matter. He had forewarned me in several dreams that they were going to do what they did but it was still so painful to walk through. Whither we like it or not God orchestrates our circumstances both big and small. If He will allow His Son Jesus to be bruised how can we expect to live a painless life?

I never thought about how His heart felt in the matter. Then Oince, that little five pound ball of orange fur, got in a scrap with another cat and blamed me for hurting her. She left us after loving her with all our heart; after all we had done for her. The backyard, which she had lived in so happily was now amazingly empty and the window sill she hopped onto daily now silent of activity.

IMG_4125I repented to my Father of hurting His heart. I embraced the Father once again. I had forgotten who I am created to be in Christ. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and that makes us kings and lords (sons) of the MOST HIGH on this earth. Just be before midnight, I walked out into the backyard that she had formerly occupied and spoke as a king, as a lord, as son of the living LORD. I declared the problem; “Lord, Oince is wounded in soul and body and she blames me for what happened. I have done nothing but love and care for her. She belongs in her yard to live out her days as long as we are here.” Then I spoke the blessing out loud, while standing in the backyard. “My herd is blessed and my flocks are blessed and I call Oince back to me. I call her back to her yard where she is to live and prosper. I call her back with her wounded soul healed and with total restoration of our relationship. Amen”

The next morning, Thanksgiving Day, before I awoke I saw in a dream Oince lying in her backyard, resting in the sun with her eyes closed. I walked past her and she no longer ran away from me. I awoke so happy because of the beautiful dream I had just experienced. Later that morning around 8:30 a.m. my wife and I were standing in the den looking out the window where Oince always jumped up on the window sill. Suddenly, Oince appeared but not like the days before, she had a frisky demeanor and by the expression on her face and we knew immediately, God had restored her to us. She was back to stay, although weak from days without food or warmth, she was back. Our troubled souls immediately settled for the first time in nine days. Our Father had done a miracle for Oince and us. He is the God of Restoration!

What a life lesson I had to walk out nine days of a pain like I had never experienced before.  The Father wanted to me understand how much it hurts Him when people blame Him for their pain, when bad things happen to them, especially the pain caused deliberately by others. I had to feel the hurt of the pain when someone you loved turns against you and leaves you when you done nothing but love and care for them. We truly are made in His image. If our hearts can hurt and indeed they can, then so can God’s. I hurt God!

5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Genesis 6:5

“…In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:23

“strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.” Acts 14:22

The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)

11 And He said, “A man had two sons. 12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. 13 And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. 14 Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him. 17 But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! 18 I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.”’ 20 So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; 23 and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; 24 for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.

25 “Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him h back safe and sound.’ 28 But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him. 29 But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; 30 but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’”

  • Do You Think of That Day?

Do You Think About That Day?
    March 25, 2013

Silhouettes of Three CrossesA few weeks ago, I asked the Lord, “Do you think about that day, the crucifixion?” After all Jesus was betrayed, falsely accused, arrested, abandoned, tried, brutally beaten, mocked, humiliated and if that wasn’t enough,  then crucified on the cross. Perhaps the events of that day are something that Jesus Christ would rather not think about, choosing to move on to more pleasant things in the Spirit.

As I meditated my question to the Lord, Holy Spirit led me to Luke 22-23, which begins with the approaching Passover feast and concludes with the burial of Jesus.

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching. The chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people. And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them… Luke 22:71 -Luke 23:1-56

I carefully read these verses in a totally new way. Now, I was reading as Jesus was thinking about “that” day. The very next morning, Holy Spirit led me to the same scriptures just as He did the morning before. As I read them again, I began to understand that Jesus continually thinks of that day as He looks at each one of His us. He looks at us through His sacrifice of “that” day when His love for all mankind was on full display for all mankind.

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” JN 15:13

I have known many Christians who truly don’t believe that Jesus really loves them, not to mention the backsliders and unbelievers who do not think Jesus will forgive them of their sins. In order to have a healthy Christian walk, it is vital to accept Jesus’ unconditional love for ourselves. He has made us worthy to receive forgiveness and we are accepted in Him by His work on the cross. His love for us must become an eternal “absolute” in our lives. We are to look at His act of love not our own life failures. He wants you to know that you are the focus of all His thoughts and His greatest desire is that you will receive His act of devine love and accept Him as your Lord and savior. Eph 1:3-5 states that before the foundation of the world Christ predestined us to be made holy by His unselfish act of love for each one of us and that our sins are forgiven.

That day, when His love was on full display for all eternity, even before you were ever born. God had provided the perfect sacrifice for you by a selfless act of love. Jesus laid down His life willingly because that was His purpose before the foundation of the world was ever created.

Jesus thinks of that day continually as He watches over each one of you. Every moment of His day is devoted to thoughts of His plan for your life. I believe it is impossible for Jesus Christ to look at any one of us without thinking of that day. My question is. “If Jesus Christ thinks of that day continually, How often do you think of that day?”

    Scripture Reference:

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. JN 10:11

even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. JN 10:15

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:6-8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.1 JN 4:8-11

  • Let My Prayer Come Before You

    Journal Entry:
Let My Prayer Come Before You

let my prayerJust after midnight, I walked into my office, which is located upstairs, to pray before going to bed. I specifically had on my heart to pray for the Christians in Iran, who are under a constant threat of death from the Iranian government. In 1994,Haik Hovsepian, the leader of the Protestant church in Iran was murdered for his defense of Christian man who converted from Islam. Hundreds of Christians scattered across thirty-five cites were arrested in 2010 without any formal charges brought against them. They spent many months in prison under solitary confinement, interrogations and psychological abuse. The Islamic Republic continues to intensify its crackdown on Iranian Christians today. The most recently published case is Yusef Nadarkhani an evangelical pastor and the father of two, has been sentenced to death for converting from Islam. The Iranian Supreme Court has continued to uphold their decision have him hanged.

I sat down on the futon and began praying and hardly got the words out of my mouth before I was interrupted by a whooshing and whizzing sound, which came from across the room. I immediately formed an image of a tightly wrapped coil of a strong fiber strap or something being unwound at a high speed, as it ascending upward and outward into the Spiritual realm.

I believe it was an angel of the Lord which was waiting to act upon my fervent prayer for our brothers and sisters in Iran. I also believe that the Lord allowed me to have the experience so I could encourage you to pray for what’s on your heart. When, we have a matter on our heart that is the time to pray, not when it is convenient, because the fervency will have lifted or you will get busy and forget the matter.

When, as believers, we gain some spiritual insight we become more and more effective as warriors in the spiritual realm. When we pray we may not experience any supernatural sign but we should know that our prayers are effective and not bouncing off the ceiling. I love it when I have faith to pray about a matter and then after praying know in my Spirit that the prayer was effective and there will be a good report coming about due to God acting upon the prayer request.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?” Heb. 1:14

The Bible teaches that there’s no distance in the Spirit with the story of the centurion’s journey to find Jesus and seek a healing for his servant he left ill.

“And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him, and saying, ” Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented.” Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion said, ” Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. “For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.”Matt. 8:5-10

Some years ago, I had a loyal employee which reported who received a phone call from his teenage son that lightning had struck their home and it was on fire. I told Him to go and that I would pray for the fire to go out. It was just as the centurion had sought out Jesus on his servant’s behalf. I began to ask the Lord to spare his home and that the fire would go out because the man was a faithful servant to me. I knew I had placed my petition before God and it had been heard.

Later, that same evening, when I called the man, he said that his son ran back in the house and got a Super Soaker and began to point it up at the eve of the house and spray water on the fire. As the son did this the fire went out immediately. The rural fire department arrived sometime later to fight the fire, but found no fire to fight. The boy told the firemen what he did to put out the fire and the firemen informed him that there was no way a squirt gun could put out a house fire like this one. The fireman didn’t know why the fire went out but they knew it was some kind of miracle.

How many ministering spirits (angels) are posted nearby waiting for the prayer of a saint, so they may launch out into the spiritual realm by the command of God to bring it to pass? Peter was freed from prison by an angel as a direct result of fervent prayers being offered up on his behalf by the saints gathered at Mary’s home.

“So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God. On the very night when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards in front of the door were watching over the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” And he went out and continued to follow, and he did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.” And when he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.” Acts 12:5-12

Saints of God let’s be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. The times are difficult and only getting worse, so let us remember one another in prayer as we petition God to act in their favor. We limit what God can do when we fail to pray. When someone comes to your mind don’t just think about them, pray for them. Perhaps, that is why they came to your mind! Pray out for the plan of God to become manifested in their life. Pray for God’s perfect will to be done and they man know God in a beautiful relationship. However, we pray for them, God wants us to pray…so let’s PRAY for one another!

    A few scriptural references:

Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry! Ps. 88:2

Cornelius said, “Four days ago to this hour, I was praying in my house during the ninth hour; and behold, a man stood before me in shining garments, and he said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. Acts 10”30-31

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. 1 Peter 4:7

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. Rev. 8:4

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. James 4:3

  • Timeline for Jesus’ Real Birthday

There are two calendars to be aware of when studying the scriptures; the Jewish or sacred (religious) calendar and the civil calendar.

Note: If you study Bible prophecy always use the months and days from the Jewish calendar when studying events which occurred after the implementation of the Feast of the Lord. These Feast dates are recorded in Leviticus 23. (That’s my instruction given to me from Holy Spirit when I first began to study Bible prophecy).

Jewish torah scroll in coverChristmas (December 25) is the time we celebrate the time of Christ birth. However, I believe the keys scriptures and the prophetic symbolism of the Feast of the Lord contradict man’s tradition of December 25 as Christ birthday. I put together a timeline from some key verses, which point to Jesus’ birthday being in the fall most like at the Feast of Trumpets (Tishri 1).

Month 1: Nisan (Mar-Apr) – Zacharias – performing priestly services. LK 1:8-25 John is conceived during the first month which is Nisan.

Month 6; Elul (Aug-Sep) Gabriel visits with Mary. LK 1-26. Mary informed that Elizabeth is 6 month pregnant LK 1:36 Mary visit with Elizabeth 3 months before returning home in Month 9 which would be the month Kislev, Lk1:56. Hanukkah occurs in Kislev. Mary returned home and most likely conceived Jesus from Holy Spirit during Hanukkah.

Month 9: Kislev (Nov-Dec) Elizabeth gives birth to John. Lk.1:57. This would place John’s birth in the month Hanukkah occurs, not Jesus’ birth. Hanukkah is the Feast of “Dedication” or Feast of Lights. John was dedicated to serve God and prepare the way for the coming of the Lord.

Now let’s work with the clues in the text to locate the approximate time of Christ birth.

Months Before the Birth of Jesus – Caesar’s census decree went out to all the Roman Empire. LK 2:1. It took months for the news of the census decree to travel across the land and then additional time for the people to travel to their birth place where they were counted in the census and paid a tax. I can only assume that the taking of the census went on for more than a year or perhaps even two. However, we do have some clues to the condition of Mary and the season of the year in which they returned to Bethlehem. Mary was about to give birth.

With the decree Mary & Joseph returned to Bethlehem, Jesus is born shortly after Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem. LK 2:6-7

The shepherds are in the fields when the angel announces Christ birth. LK 2:8. The shepherds wouldn’t be abiding in the fields in the winter months when the rain and snow fall in some areas. This places the angelic announcement much sooner than winter or the traditional date of December 25.

Tishri 1- Is the Feast of Trumpets established by God. Lev. 23:24. This date is the beginning of the Jewish New Year. Trumpets are blown and the time of the early rains and plowing. It is taught in Jewish lore that Adam was formed on Tishri 1. “So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 1 Cr 15:45

Count backwards 9 months from Tishri to find the month of conception and you get Kislev (Nov-Dec) and Hanukkah, the Feast of Lights. Modern astromony software shows celestial studies very well may indicate that a uniques sign appeared in the heavens above Bethlehem during Tishri in 3BC. It is an amazing look at the celestial events which were occuring in the heavens leading up to Christ birth.

So I believe it’s accurate to say that John the Baptist was born during the month of Kislev and most likely during Hanukkah (Festival of Lights). Jesus was most likely conceived by Holy Spirit during Hanukkah (Jesus, the light of the world JN 9:5). John’s birth proceeded and prepared the way for Christ conception. Nine months later Jesus was most likely born on Tishri 1 during the Feast of Trumpets.

Follow the calendar timeline which I have put together and you will see the scriptures point to Jesus’ birthday being in the fall of the year and not in winter. Some people say, “What does it matter anyway when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday as long as we celebrate it?” Okay, then when your next birthday arrives how about we skip it for three or four months and celebrate it then.

  • When Religion Makes Us Mean

The Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered around Him when they had come from Jerusalem, and had seen that some of His disciples were eating their bread with impure hands, that is, unwashed. Mark 7:1-2

When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, “Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?” Matt. 9:11

And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might accuse Him.  Mat. 12:10

Below came from an unknown source. I haven’t been able to trace the author of the writing but wanted others to read it and be blessed as I was.

Pointing FingerReligion is a powerful influence in human life but its effect varies widely. It does different things to different people. Take, for example, Saint Francis. While still a young man, he renounced his claim to a family fortune and took vows of poverty that he might serve the poor. But he is remembered as a happy man. One of his biographers said: “While other worked at sainthood, Francis played at it.” He preached to the birds and the animals. He sang to the moon and the sun. His name has become synonymous with love and kindness and generosity.

A couple of hundred years later, in Spain, we encounter a totally different kind of man. His name was Torquemada. He was the inquisitor-general of the country. His job was to track down and root out heresy. And he was good at it. In just a few years, more than two-thousand heretics were put to death.

Torquemada was a deeply religious man. But the World Book Encyclopedia says of him: “To this day, his name is often used to stand for wanton cruelty.” Two separate lives, as different as night and day. One was gentle and kind. The other was harsh and cruel. And each of them was shaped by religion.

We see the same contrast in today’s Gospel. Jesus is warm and loving. His first concern is for human needs and how to meet them.  The Pharisees are harsh and rigid. Their chief concern is keeping the Sabbath day and seeking to it that others do the same. If the disciples go hungry and a man with a deformed hand is unhealed, so be it.  The important thing is that the Sabbath not be violated.  If this requires people to suffer needlessly, then they will just have to suffer.

That is clearly mean-spirited attitude. And it was motivated by a deep religious devotion.

The worst thing about this kind of meanness is that we almost never know that we are mean.

religion & meanessI can assure you that those Pharisees did not think of themselves as mean. That was the farthest thought from their minds. They regarded themselves as defenders of the faith.  They were the advocates of civic righteousness.  The observance of this commandment had bonded them together and kept them distinct throughout their exile in Babylon.  To give it up would be a denial of their history and heritage. So these Pharisees saw themselves, not as mean people, but as patriots.  They were defenders of the faith and champions of the nations.

That sounds noble, but it is a dangerous thing. It is always dangerous when causes become more important than people. From there it is but one short step to cruelty. And the bad part of it is we do not even know that we are cruel.  The Spanish inquisitor, Torquemada, has been dead for centuries. But if he could come back today, he would be astounded to know that his name has become a synonym for cruelty.  When he killed all those heretics, he was not being mean.  He was just a true believer, defending the faith of the church.

We can see this contradiction in others.  It is much difficult to see it in ourselves.  We can rationalize almost anything to put ourselves in favorable light.  Others may be cruel.  But we are simply doing what has to be done for the good of the cause.  Every mean-spirited person who ever lived has rationalized his deeds with some such argument.  In matter of religion, we can be mean and not even know it, because we call it something else.

Consider one other thought: When religion makes us mean, it is an indication of confused values.

We are making something more important that it really is. And we are making people less important that they really are.  This was clearly the case with the Pharisees in today’s Gospel. They may have cared that the disciples needed food.  They may have cared that the man had a withered hand.  But they were more concerned that the Sabbath be kept inviolate.  It was all a question of priorities.  Which are more important, real people and their real needs or the proper observance of a holy day? Jesus came down on the side of human need.  The Pharisees were more concerned with guarding the Sabbath and keeping it prim and proper.

You and I have to take a position in that dispute.  We must align ourselves, either with Jesus, or the Pharisees.  Our point of contention will no longer be the Sabbath.  We have moved on to other concerns.  It may be some political positions, or some financial objective.  But if we regard anything as more sacred than people, we will end up doing something mean.  And we will do it in the name of righteousness.  We will convince ourselves that God is on our side and  my friends that is a mistaken conclusion.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

The God that has been revealed in Christ is wholeheartedly dedicated to one thing – real people and their real needs.  They are more important to him than sacred days, or sacred books, or sacred sites, or sacred anythings.

The New Testament makes it clear that one thing was supremely sacred to Jesus.  And that one was a person, any person and every person.  When religion makes us mean to people, we can be sure of this: It is not the religion of Jesus.

  • Holy Spirit Our Teacher

holy spirit teacherA few years ago, I asked the Father what theology meant to Him and He responded, “Its man’s attempt to explain what he doesn’t understand.”  Wouldn’t it be great if every speaker in the body of Christ provided a real honest disclaimer as to where they gained their knowledge? Did it come from their own intellectual studies, attending a Bible college, downloaded a sermon off the Internet, books, or did it come by revelation directly from Holy Spirit?

I have continually witnessed how man elevates various individuals as anointed teachers of God. People run to these teachers like a feeding frenzy in order to gain more understanding of the things of God. Often the individuals teaching gain such a following that they inadvertently create an army of followers that “parrot” everything they say without questioning if it is really Holy Spirit taught Bible truth. If there is any one thing missing in the body of Christ it is discernment for the true things of God.

“O God, Thou hast taught me from my youth; And I still declare Thy wondrous deeds.” Ps. 71:17

Who is to be teaching and instructing the believer?

The prophet Jeremiah correctly prophesied the time would come when it would be no longer necessary to have someone teach the believer how to know the Lord.

“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. V34. And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ “for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” Jer. 31:33-34

When in meditation I was conversing with my Father and I said in a contemplative manner, “Lord, there are so few anointed leaders, teachers, pastors in the body of Christ and the people suffer because of it.” Immediately, I was strongly reproved by my Father when He responded resolutely with “Second Timothy Two Fifteen!”

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.” 2 Tim. 2:15

I felt terrible for what I had just said and quickly repented for my error in thought. There is no excuse for the true believer not to know and understand His word. The responsibility falls directly upon every believer to press into God and to be taught by Holy Spirit the truth. God requires each believer to be thorough in gaining true knowledge of Him through the rhema (revealed) word of God for themselves so they are able to accurately separate falsehood from true Christ doctrine. A word from God, which you hear for yourself, is one of the greatest things in the walk of faith. You know that you know and that is the Rock on which the called out ones build their foundations. Holy Spirit can make the written word come alive as your mentor if you are seeking truth from a sincere heart. You won’t be disappointed for truly the Father will reward those who diligent seek Him.

And without faith it is impossible to please {Him,} for he who comes to God must believe that He is and {that} He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.  Heb. 11:6

    What did Jesus promise?

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:26

2 tim 2_15John 14:26 clearly instructs the believer that Holy Spirit is your teacher and that He will teach you all things. This means Holy Spirit will teach you things about God and everything in between, which includes things for your employment and challenges you encounter in your daily walk.  The Greek word for Holy Spirit is parakletos (par-ak’-lay-tos) which means an intercessor, counselor, advocate or one who comes along side.  I have great faith in Holy Spirit to help me understand God’s word, to help me in my daily walk as well as to help me in my secular or domestic tasks. It’s very exciting to have Him teaching us about all things!

God wants to remove false knowledge from the believers.

When Jesus encountered the Pharisees (religious minded) they knew scriptures but didn’t know the heart of God. They knew the legal aspects of the law and used it to lord over the Jewish people. The Pharisees added many other requirements such as washing of hands, cups, pitchers and copper pots which were according to the traditions of the elders and not Moses’ law.

“This people honors me with their lips but their heart is far from Me, but in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men. Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.” Mark 7: 6-8

Jesus speaking to His disciples said permission has been granted for the believers to know mysteries.

“And He answered and said to them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.  “For whoever has, to him shall more be given, and he shall have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.” Matt 13:11-13

The “whoever does not have” refers to “does not have” God’s revealed truth. They have a doctrine which was created by their own prideful intellect and people will defend their doctrine vigorously as perceived truth out of pride. Pride will blind us from knowing and growing in the truth of God. Prideful knowledge creates a filter as we study the Bible so we only see things written in a way that reinforces what we already believe to be truth. Our own confidence in our knowledge will prevent us from seeing greater truths in His revealed word. Only those who remain humble and are truly seeking truth will receive it from God. God opposes the proud but comes near to the humble.

But is this truly God’s plan to have man teach man the things of God?

It is my observation that believers who rely only on man to teach them remain immature in Christ and fail to mature in the things of God. A baby will stay a baby if the parents don’t train the child to hold the spoon and feed themselves. This is the parent’s responsibility not the child’s. Sure it’s messy at first but any responsible parent knows it is necessary in order for the child to mature. The child needs supervision and encouragement for a time as they learn to manage the process of self-feeding but it isn’t long before they are normal, healthy, maturing children.

We have no excuse for remaining babies in Christ. The only reason we will remain a baby and not mature is that we are dependant on someone else to feed us God’s word. In the natural, if we eat only one meal a week will we grow up a healthy maturing individual? Of course not! A weekly sermon that many so depend on to keep them going could be their stumbling block to maturing if it’s the only time of the week they give time for the things of God.  Are they not being spoon fed what someone else has cut up, chewed on and put in their mouths? Remember our accountability to God according to 2 Tim. 2:15.

For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Heb. 8:10-11

Do you truly believe that Holy Spirit is your teacher as it says in 1 John 2:27?

And finally…”And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him who abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you, but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27 (keeps us from being deceived by false doctrine as mention in verse 26)

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Eph 4:11-14

First of all, these are not offices in the body of Christ as many would have you believe. Many use this verse to promote their influence and power just as the Nicolaitans (means conquer of the people) used their titles to conquer and control the people and make believers subordinate to a clergy hierarchy system after the original apostles died off at the end of the first century. Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastors and teacher are ministry gifts (read the context verse in Eph 4:4:8) that flow according to Holy Spirit’s direction to equip the body of Christ, until we all attain unity of the faith, maturing daily in the things of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:28 clearly places these as ministry gifts and not positions in the body of Christ.

“And God has appointed in the ekklesia (which means the called out ones) first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.” 1 Cor. 12:28

Are we not to have teachers?

ministry giftsIf I listen when an anointed gift is flowing through a person I will certainly be taught some things by the anointing that quickens the truth in my spirit. The one teaching must realize that the gift isn’t flowing in them all the time as some would have you believe. I have learned some valuable tools from people when a ministry gift is flowing through them and they are speaking about a subject that Holy Spirit has made rhema to them. However, at other times I have seen the same individuals teaching in total error on a subject using their own prideful intellect because that they just wanted to speak about a particular subject without truly understanding God’s rhema truth in the matter.

    Summary –

It is my sincere appeal to all who read this that you humble yourself before God and surrender at His feet everything you have been taught, all knowledge, all doctrine, all understanding and ask Holy Spirit to teach you all truth. If you are one who believes you have an appointed office then you need to truly get before God and seek His face in the matter and take the message given by Jesus about self-promoters to heart.

On August 28, 2001 Holy Spirit gave me to read Matt. 7:21-23 and then I heard the Father say, “It’s about relationship.”

“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.” Matt. 7:21-23

These individuals (ministers) were using a ministry gift to promote themselves and were not in a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”  John 14:15.

How do we get to know someone?

We spend time with them, we converse together, we learn all you can about one another and we share our heart’s most intimate feelings. It’s not about building up a ministry. It’s not about building facilities. It’s about building a relationship with the living God. If you are sincere in wanting to know truth, to know your God, then you will run and get on your knees and surrender to Him and trust Holy Spirit to teach you all things.

It is very difficult and uncomfortable to let go of ‘our’ knowledge because knowledge puffs up an individual’s ego. It requires much more work to present ourselves before God continually seeking His understanding of the scriptures than just trusting what man teaches or what you can understand using our intellect.

“If we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that it is difficult to let go of the comfort and warmth of what we think we know, for a journey of naked hope. But there is no other path.” St. John of the Cross

Are we so confident in what we know to be God’s truth that we can’t strip ourselves bare of our intellectual understanding? We must allow Holy Spirit to begin to lead us into deeper understanding of the things of God. Indeed if you humble ourselves, we will find that Holy Spirit is truly our Teacher and we will begin to journey into what He wants to teach us individually about Himself. Then, we will begin to truly discover His heart. It’s His promise to us.

  • The Prophet Pt. 1

Often I receive inquiries about the prophet/seer and I hope you see why we need this ministry gift operating freely in the Church today. If it were only so…

The prophet in his day is fully accepted of God and totally rejected by men.

prophet 3Years back, Dr. Gregory Mantle was right when he said, “No man can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected.” The prophet of the Lord is aware of both these experiences. They are his “brand name.”

The group, challenged by the prophet because they are smug and comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but untested theology; is not likely to vote him ”Man of the year” when he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan!

The prophet comes to set up that which is upset. His work is to call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent national need than that we cry to God for a prophet! The Function of the prophet, as Austin-Sparks once said, “has almost always been that of recovery.”

The prophet is God’s detective seeking for a lost treasure. The degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him.

    He has no price tags.

    He is totally ”otherworldly.”

He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile.

    He marches to another drummer!

He breathes the rarefied air of inspiration.

He is a “seer” who comes to lead the blind.

prophet 2He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a “thus saith the Lord.”

He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of impending judgment.

    He lives in “splendid isolation.”

He is forthright and outright, but he claims no birthright.

His message is “repent, be reconciled to God or else…!”

    His prophecies are parried.

His truth brings torment, but his voice is never void.

He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow.

He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead!

He is dishonored with epithets when breathing and honored with epitaphs when dead.

He is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but few “make the grade” in his class.

He is friendless while living and famous when dead.

He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established as a saint by posterity.

He eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds the Bread of life to those who listen.

He walks before men for days but has walked before God for years.

He is a scourge to the nation before he is scourged by the nation.

    He announces, pronounces, and denounces!

prophet 1He has a heart like a volcano and his words are as fire.

He talks to men about God.

He carries the lamp of truth amongst heretics while he is lampooned by men.

He faces God before he faces men, but he is self-effacing.

He hides with God in the secret place, but he has nothing to hide in the marketplace.

He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual.

He has passion, purpose and pugnacity.

He is ordained of God but disdained by men.

  • The Spirit of Dagon

Update: – In the night after I published the blog below exposing the Dagon spirit, God allowed me to encounter the Dagon spirit as if to confirm its existenance and power.

    Jounal Entry: 12/18/2009 1:15AM
I was in a dream where the spirit of Dagon was trying to over power the leadership and the saints. Dagon appeared to be suspended on the wall like a picture. When  I passed by it I felt its power and I fought to resist it because it is powerful. Dagon can subdue  nations, governments, religious minded souls and indeed wants to for the purpose of warring against God’s people. Right at the peak of resisting the spirit’s power I heard three powerfully loud knocks in the spirit that came from the direction of under my pillow, directly to my head, startling me awake at 1:15 AM. I had just been rescued and defended by Holy Spirit from the power of Dagon. The reason behind this is I just released a new blog exposing the Dagon spirit and it is obvious that the evil Dagon didn’t like it. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered a ruler spirit. They rule over cities, regions or nations and each encounter has ended with Holy Spirit coming to my aid. I love Holy Spirit!

    The Spirit of Dagon

I received a phone call from a brother in Christ one afternoon; he named a preacher and wanted to know what I knew about him. I told the brother that I didn’t know anything about the preacher nor had I heard of him, but I would check and see what he was preaching and let him know if it seemed safe to listen to him.

dagonI searched YouTube and quickly found his sermon part 1-8 on the “Ecstasy of God.” I began watching and listening as the man took terminology of the drug / alcohol world and incorporated it into his sermon. Repeatedly he demonstrated that “if you do this” or “you do that” in your spiritual walk with Holy Spirit you would “get high and God would promote you to the next level in the supernatural presence of God.” He used terms like the godka of God, the Crown Royal, the Jehovajuanna, Ecstasy of God, drunken glory of God and so forth in his message.  As he taught, he walked around acting like he was high on God.

The large auditorium where he was preaching appeared to be filled with many young people who were taking notes and listening intently as he carried on and on with his drug phrased preaching. He mentioned many well known classic saints from the 1600s who had many supernatural experiences but failed to mention that their experiences came out of the death of self and an enduring love relationship with Jesus Christ. Such saints as Brother Lawrence, Madame Guyon, Saint John of the Cross and Saint Teresa of Ávila were not seeking an experience; they were deeply in a love relationship with Jesus Christ. The preacher’s message glorifies the seeking of God for the experience rather than seeking God for relationship.

It was very disturbing to me and I began to ask God to show me what spirit was behind this man’s preaching. After continued persistence to understand,  while in quiet time the next morning, I heard the Lord say one word, “Dagon!”

It is the spirit of Dagon; Dagon was the principal deity of the Philistines and was imported to the region from Babylon. What Dagon looked like is truly not known to us today nor is it important; however, what the Dagon represents does matter. Dagon was primarily worshiped in Gaza and Ashkelon regions as the God of war. This region was known to have many giants in it. The spirit of Dagon is at war with the saints and wants to subdue the holy things of God.

“Now the lords of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice, for they said, “Our god has given Samson our enemy into our hands.” Judg 16:23 NAS

“ The Philistines took the ark of God and brought it to the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.  When the Ashdodites arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set him in his place again.  But when they arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. And the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold; only the trunk of Dagon was left to him.  Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor all who enter Dagon’s house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.” 1 Sam 5:2-5 NAS

The Philistines captured the ark of God and placed it in a submissive place in their temple of worship before Dagon as a gratitude offering and as proof their god was greater than the Hebrew God. God showed the Philistines that their god Dagon couldn’t stand over Him. God will not be manipulated by man; God will not be subservient to man’s will or his desire. God will not be reduced to a crazed drug culture comparison of being bonged out into drunken glory all the time.

people bibleThe presence of God is wonderful. A new believer will encounter it for the first time and their flesh may shake, spasm or fall-out during the experience. However, the more time one spends soaking in the presence of the Lord, the more adjusted you become, in other words, the anointing that knocked me down yesterday will not knock me down today. How can we ever minister under a strong anointing if we are prone to falling-out or rolling on the floor? When we come into the presence of the Lord, we should be eternally changed. God can over power any human with His unveiled holiness; just read the book of Daniel to get an idea.

    Dan 8:17
“So he came near to where I was standing, and when he came I was frightened and fell on my face.”

    Dan 8:27
“ Then I, Daniel, was exhausted and sick for days. Then I got up again and carried on the king’s business; but I was astounded at the vision, and there was none to explain it.” NAS

Know that yesterday’s miracle; yesterday’s manifestation doesn’t carry me through today trials and tribulations. I must have a real relationship with Him and a fresh anointing of grace each day to fulfill what he has called me to do. I love the tangible presence of God but I don’t seek God for it. I seek God because I want to be known of Him and have an intimate relationship with Him.

    Matt 7:22-23
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”

There are many false and counterfeit anointings in the world. Some pulpits are occupied by imposters who preach under a false anointing and do not lead people to a relationship with Christ but rather to themselves and the church system. How can they lead someone to a place they haven’t been themselves?

In my early days after repenting and rededicating my life to Christ, I experienced His Holy anointing that would settle on me so heavily that it was awkward for me to stand at times. These experiences came out of an ever-growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, not from seeking the experience. He was washing me, He was soaking me in His love, He was filling me full of His Holy anointing and immersing me in the Holy Spirit.

These experiences weren’t about growing in Christ as much as establishing a love relationship with the holiness of Christ. It was out of the excitement of getting to know Jesus that these experiences kept coming on me. After a period of several months the season ended and God began to grow me up in the things of Christ. I would never mature in the things of Christ if I was seeking Him for the feelings of His presence. He purposely will remove them to teach us to walk by faith and not by our feelings.

We mustn’t seek experiences or the “high” but we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all these things are added unto us. To seek God for any reason, other than to know Him and be known of Him, is no different than the crowd who followed Jesus for the fish and loaves.

    Matt 6:33-34
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  NAS

Dagon is the spirit behind this man’s teaching and yet I can honestly say that I felt a sincere love for the man who was preaching. He did not set out to deliberately deceive people, in all honesty and truthfulness, he is deceived himself. He has been beguiled by the spirit of Dagon and doesn’t even know it. Deceived people don’t know they’re deceived, if they knew, well they wouldn’t be deceived. The Merriam Webster dictionary defines deceived as, “to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.” We need to pray that his eyes be opened to truth and that Satan’s kingdom no longer blinds him from the truth.

The Dagon spirit is at war against God and His saints and wants to take them captive. It is fleshly, sensual and filled with the acts of human accomplishments. This Dagon spirit wants to make Holy Spirit respond to the believer based on seeking the experience just like an addict which seeks to get high from taking a drug. An addict isn’t seeking relationship with a drug but only to get high. I don’t doubt the man is under the influence and is feeling high but the high is not coming from Holy Spirit but from the Dagon spirit.

Unfortunately, in these last days many false teachers will emerge in the body of Christ. They will most likely have had a history of teaching sound doctrine, but now due to impure motives and unresolved character issues, they have been deceived by false a anointing.

    False Teachers

false teachers“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.  And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;  and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” 2 Peter 2: 1-4

“ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires;  and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.  But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Tim 4:3-6 NAS

“ See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.” Col 2:8 NAS

“ And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;  that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,  and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truthso as to be saved.  And for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” 2 Thess 2:8-12 NAS

“But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.  You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them;  and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim 3:13-17 NAS

“ To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.  They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed”. Titus 1:15-16 NAS

I pray you will be studying the word and praying for discernment in the things of God.

  • Seeing In the Dark

Sunday morning I entered quiet time with a heavy heart, He had been quiet for so long. I needed to hear from Him and asked the Lord, “What have I done that so offends you? Are you not still my Lord? Do you not still have my heart?”

Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, “Come let us reason together, for I have graced you in many ways and indeed you truly walk in them. Although it isn’t understood by many, my paths are difficult to tread, even on a good day.

bubble boyBreezes blow and then they’re gone.  In the wind there is hope for a season of change. Light will once again shine upon you from out of the darkness; you will come to see more light. Dark times are necessary to teach you to appreciate the good things of life all the more; few can truly understand this principal. For to be able to see light and glory and hope while in the darkest of times, will be essential in the days ahead. It is vital to have “hope” when it appears to be hopeless.

Trust in Me and I will deliver you from the hands of those who are at odds with you, they are as a vapor to Me and will not stand in truth before Me. Between now and tomorrow I will deliver you from them. It will occur and the wind will cover your face. Let the word settle in your heart.

I am able to deliver you. I have a plan. I have a purpose. Come let us reason together. Light comes to you in the darkness. Light covers you in darkness. It is the way of the Lord.”  -Journal Entry End –

When my wife and I entered this season of walking blindly in the darkness, it just seemed crazy to think of God and to think of darkness. What was God saying to us…see in the dark!?

    His Glory –

“Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.  Ps 97:2 NAS

“He bowed the heavens also, and came down

With thick darkness under His feet.

    And He rode upon a cherub and flew;

And He sped upon the wings of the wind.

He made darkness His hiding place,

    His canopy around Him,

Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds,” Ps 18:9-12 NAS

After entering into this season of testing, while in my quiet time, my eyes were closed and I was meditating on Him.  I saw a dark shadow in a robe, shaped like the Lord, slowly pass between my head and the lamp sitting on the table to the right of my chair. After He passed, I opened my eyes and saw nothing nor did I sense anything there. I believe it was God showing me that His glory and presence can be as thick as darkness.

Then the LORD said, ‘Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.’” Ex 33:21-23 NAS

“Then Solomon said, “The LORD has said that He would dwell in the thick cloud. I have surely built Thee a lofty house, a place for Thy dwelling forever.” 1 Kings 8:12-13 NAS

“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze, and cut through their iron bars.  I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, in order that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.” Isa 45:2-3 NAS

Our God is ever teaching those who will follow Him in truth, new dimensions of Himself. Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

I pray this often, and I like it when God is revealing more knowledge of Him to me in dreams, visions and prophecies. I like serving God when His glory and His tangible presence are upon me. I like it when He seems so near to me and the anointing of God is so strong that I feel purposed in Him for great things. Who wouldn’t love that?

man on ladderHowever, God wants us to see another side of Him that is vital for the days and the years ahead and it is vital for the Bride of Christ to arm herself with this knowledge. God wants us to learn about seeing Him in the darkness. I know what you’re thinking that God is light and there is no darkness in Him, which is true but I’m talking about finding Him in the trials, insults, distresses, persecutions and in the most difficult of times, in the delay, in everything! We must learn to see God where He can’t easily been seen. As it is said, “There is an appointed time for everything, and there is a time for every event under heaven.”  Eccl 3:1 NAS

Paul wrote, “Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Cor 12:10 NAS

“Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am in. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Phil 4:11-13 NAS

Paul said I have learned the “secret,” …which was seeing God in the darkness! He could see God when in abundance or when suffering need or filled and going hungry, he was content because he knew how God saw it, He allowed it.

Its human nature to want things to be easy, but God knows that isn’t the best thing for us. How can we learn to trust God unless we are placed into situations where we (or anyone else) are unable to deliver us? Years ago, I was in the attic of our home, when my eye caught some weight lifting equipment lying on the floor. I heard Holy Spirit say, “It’s the resistance that makes you strong.”

God allows the darkness to come with the trials and the testing. Jesus told Peter that Satan had demanded permission to test him and it appears that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit agreed it was a good idea. Peter was tested, and even denied Jesus, but He had already prayed for Peter’s faith not to fail.

“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, go and strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:31-33 NAS

When I asked, Lord how do we learn to see You in the darkness?  He reminded me that the human eye must acclimate when going from light to dark or visa versa in order for us to be able to see. During times of adjustment, we are helpless and feel vulnerable until our eyes have fully accustomed to the situation. Fear desires to grab hold of us when we can’t see. The correct thing for us to do is to walk blindly and to trust the fact that your steps are aligned with God and knowing that He sees clearly.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,

And the light around me will be night,”

Even the darkness is not dark to Thee,

And the night is as bright as the day.

Darkness and light are alike to Thee.” Ps 139:11-12 NAS

    Thinking too Much –

Don’t think too much, it is possible to think ourselves right out of the plan of God. God is working on our behalf whither we realize it or not and regardless if it’s day or night. When we are in the period of darkness, God is working.

    Find Contentment –

When we are in the darkness, we must become content with the darkness of unknowing and obscurity. We must learn to walk in pure child-like faith, relying on the Father and the fact that He is extremely aware of our plight. Eventually we will move from unknowing to knowing. We don’t have to understand why, we just have to believe!

    The Purpose –

glass houseI believe that God is preparing people to train the bride of Christ. In order to properly undertake this responsibility, we must be purged, purified and refined just as the bride of Christ will be. The darkness and its process is part of God’s greater plan. The darkness is full of tilts, of topsy-turvy and of rollercoaster events which are meant to bring the believer into a place of insight, humility, and child-like faith.  The darkness is cleansing and gives us the ability to see God in the darkest of times. The coming years will be full of darkness and the greatest of evil is at the threshold of time now. Revelation 12: 7-14 (War in Heaven).

Many church leaders around the world are reporting that the things in ministry that used to work are no longer working. Many ministries are struggling to make sense of it all. Attendance and offerings are down and the ones who are coming to church are perplexed as well. All the programs, sermons, praise songs, offerings, etc, aren’t able to keep people in church today. Many in leadership are frustrated and are making the mistake of brainstorming for new ideas to keep the people from leaving. They fail to recognize there has been a paradigm shift in the Spirit and that is the Preparation of the Bride has begun. The answer (insight) will be found when the church goes through a great period of darkness.

“And some of those who have insight will fall, in order to refine, purge, and make them pure, until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.” Dan 11:35 NAS

And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. Many will be purged, purified and refined; but the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand”. Dan 12:9-10 NAS

I pray this brings as much healing to you as writing it has to me.

    Be Blessed In Him,

  • Things That Aren’t Even There!

On May 26, 2009, in the middle of the night, I heard Jesus say, “Things that aren’t even there we tend to encourage”.  I rehearsed what I heard over and over again so I could remember exactly how and what He said to me. I knew this word of wisdom was given for a reason and I needed to understand it.

In my morning quite time and throughout the week, I kept growing this revelation to see how it applied to my life.  I wanted to think this word was for others to hear, thinking I didn’t struggle with fear, dread or a runaway imagination but in truth we all deal with things that aren’t even there.

Fear is the Greek word “phóbos” where we get the word phobia. Fear means to be struck with fear or seized with alarm.  Wikipedia states Phobia as an irrational, intense, persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, or people. There are thousands of phobias listed today, just about one for everything named from A to Z.  You can read more on phobia at

    Fear Has Torment

fear“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

Jesus was telling me things that aren’t even there, things that aren’t even real, they don’t exist but somehow as humans we tend to encourage them as if they were real. We meditate on them and what starts out as a thought of what could be grows in to a full blown episode of fear. Fear will take hold of you if you allow it!

“Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.” Psa. 48:6

    False Evidence Appearing Real

In the last two weeks, I have had plenty of opportunity to practice this word in my life and I’ve realized I struggle in this area. In fact, we all are faced with the opportunity each day to shrink back in fear from those things that aren’t even real.

I’ll give you an example. The boss calls you into your office and says, “There’s something I would like to discuss with you, can you come to my office?” I’ve had bosses over the years do this to me and it’s really easy to let the mind run away with thoughts of dread. You know…fear, the worst is about to happen! The mind races ahead a breakneck speed as it begins to create what it thinks might occur. There is no end to our imaginations and to the fearful possibilities of what is about to happen, like he’s going to fire me, he’s disappointed in my performance, I’m about to get reassigned! You see, we do tend to encourage what isn’t even there! It’s not real nor will it ever be.

“They were in great fear, [where] no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth [against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame, because God hath despised them.” Psa. 53:5

I learned over the years that those steps I took walking to the boss’s office were better spent praying and declaring God’s favor over my life than encouraging what isn’t even there (real).

People encourage fantasy of all kinds; it’s woven into our being from a child. It’s part of our creation to imagine. We were told that Santa Claus and Superman were real as well as a host of fictional characters. I strongly believed in Superman as a child and would lay out on the grass in the yard waiting to see him high in the sky with his cape flying in the wind as he swept past over my house.  Eventually I determined he wasn’t even real.

Time proves out what is real and what isn’t real. The media markets the news more as entertainment driven by ratings. In order to get ratings they will jump on any story that can promote their ratings. The easiest way to do that is by peddling F-E-A-R. The most recent episode was the Swine Flu scare of early 2009. It made people tune in for a while and it was great for ratings, but in the end it didn’t materialize as they hoped it would. They had to move on to something else.

“In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” Psa. 56:4

Fear! God refuses to allow His children to live in fear! God requires us to live by faith and not allow our lives to be dictated by fear. Fear shuts down our ability to accomplish anything for the Kingdom of God. Fear leads us into sin! That’s right! Fear is sin to God. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hbr. 13:6

Abraham slept with Hagar out of fear. Fear kept the Hebrew nation from entering into the promise land for a generation. Elijah ran in fear from Jezebel after his great day of victory by killing her false prophets due to her threat! Peter stopped walking on water due to fear.

Fear and its cousin “dread” are constantly tormenting our lives. How many times have we thought, “I dread going to see the doctor for what he might tell me,” or “Oh, I dread work tomorrow.”

IRSMy wife and I received a large envelope in the mail from the IRS some years ago. We kept passing it back and forth trying to get the other to open it. Neither one of us wanted to know what was inside this envelope that came from the evil empire of the IRS. My wife opened it and gave it to me to read, I was in such fear that I couldn’t even understand what it was saying. After a few days of dread, I picked up the documents again and read that the IRS wanted us to sign and agree that they owed us money due to an error where we failed to claim all our exemptions on a past filing. The IRS owed us $1800! What we feared didn’t happen, it wasn’t real and it turned out to be a blessing! A God lesson on fear.

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.” Gen. 15:1 The father of our faith was instructed to “Fear not” so God could bring him into all he had promised him.

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” Exd. 14:13

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

In the days we currently live in, we will see great and terrible things which will cause many to fear. The events of September 11, 2001 caused this nation to fear for a short time. People ran to God for protection only to leave within a few weeks of time. So many Christians are tormented today in fear because they don’t trust God to protect, to provide and to care for them. The recent Swine Flu scare, clearly tells me that our nation and our world live in fear. We’re not trusting in God daily. Running to God in time of need is not the same as “Abiding” in Him daily.

“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rev. 2:10

We must stop fearing those things which aren’t real; encouraging things that aren’t even there and begin immediately to turn to God when we start to feel fear. Fear brings torment with it and it will cause the saint of God to draw back from the things of God, the ever Consuming Fire. We must press into Him in order to stand strong in today and in the things which are coming upon the earth in the days and years ahead.

We must build upon the foundation of the Rock and become Psalm 91 people which reads:

    Ninety First Psalms

imagination“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, {But} it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the LORD, my refuge, {Even} the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down. “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him {securely} on high, because he has known My name. “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. “With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation.” Ps. 91: 1-16

My wife heard the Father say many Christians are living a “busy life” because that is their identity. To slow down and make the necessary changes will cause the loss of their identity, of being needed and important. This is a fear driven life of that which isn’t even there (real).

Fear keeps many Christians from wanting to hear God for themselves because they fear He will tell them something they don’t want to do. If we allow it, fear will keep us from stepping out in faith when God does show or tell us to do something.

The storms of life will come so we must build our house on the foundation which is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Don’t delay walking in truth and being a doer of the Word of Truth. Allow God to send you into the boot camp of faith! When God allows resistance to come into your life, welcome it for it is the resistance that makes you strong just like the person in the gym lifting weights. If the resistance isn’t there then there will be no increase in strength.

Jesus said, “He is like a man which builds a house, he dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:48-49

May you be blessed by the wisdom of this message!

  • America Ignored God’s Judgment!

    Is America Ignoring Judgment?

Hurricane“…For when the earth experiences Thy judgments the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness: He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, and does not perceive the majesty of the Lord. Is. 26: 9-10

In my secret place late on the night on December 23, 2004, I fell under a very strong unction of Holy Spirit to pray for the Christians in Indonesia who were being persecuted and even murdered by Muslim extremists. In a sense there was an ethnic cleansing in progress and Christians were being beheaded by the sword in an all out attempt to eliminate the Christian church in this area.

There is no greater call of God than to follow the unction of Holy Spirit to intercede on the behalf of another.

As I sat in a chair staring out the picture window into the dark of night, I cried out for an open door for the gospel to penetrate this area and for God to do whatever it takes to get the gospel into these areas and to deliver the saints from being murdered. I prayed until I felt a release from Holy Spirit and then retired for the night. “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16

On Sunday Morning, December 26, 2004, just before leaving for church, I turned on the TV and saw a news report of a 8.9 -9.0 earthquake in the Indonesian region and that a strong tsunami had been generated. I told my wife this will be a big event and cause allot of damage and loss of life. How little did I know how much death and damage this event would cause! The news for days and even weeks from this region revealed the damage and death toll from the strong tsunami. Truly, a tragedy and a judgment of God was released upon the earth.

With a magnitude between 9.1-9.3 and a duration of 8.3 – 10 minutes, the Indonesian earthquake was the second strongest ever recorded. It caused the entire planet to vibrate as much as 1 cm (0.4 inches) triggering other earthquakes as far away as Alaska. The marker at the North Pole was relocated about one meter to accommodate for the shift in the earth’s poles. The atomic clock was adjusted afterwards because the energy released by the powerful earthquake caused the earth to totter, thus slowing the earth’s rotation about 1 second. Know that only God can shake the earth!

He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever. Ps. 104:5

The 20 meter uplift in the seabed floor generated the strongest tsunami ever recorded with waves of 30 meters (100 ft) high in some communities. The earthquake is estimated to have released the energy above the seabed floor at 26.3 megatons of TNT. This energy is equivalent to over 1502 times that of the Hiroshima type atomic bombs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, impacting millions of people in eleven countries. The energy of the tsunami sent a wave around the world. The U.S. Geological Survey death toll now stands at a staggering 229,866 people killed.

    Banda Ache Tsunami Before_After1

The network news began to broadcast satellite images of the damage caused by the force of the tsunami. One image in particular caught my eye when I saw a photo taken from a satellite of Banda Ache. In the photo, I saw the outline of the geographical shape of the United States; I knew God had put it there as a warning for America. I knew in my spirit that America was going to experience a similar disaster sometime in the future. I didn’t know when or how, but I knew a judgment from God was coming to America.

    Prophetic Comprehension 101

Prophets have a comprehension of prophetic matters and see prophetic things in the world around them. It may be something on the news, TV show, commercials, photos, reading news releases, they see God in everything. A recent example of this was in the June 8, 2009 news headlines that read, “Sotomayor breaks ankle at New York City airport en route to Washington for Senate meetings.” When I read that, I saw prophetically that her foundational beliefs are not what our forefathers established. Even before her “take-off” her right ankle breaks which represents her foundation and direction. She continued on as she hobbled through her confirmation interviews in Washington. This event leads me to believe this appointee is not going to vote along the lines of our Constitution. She will definitely go left on her rulings.

Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7

    Judgment Warning

While I was in prayer on Friday, December 30, 2004, the same week the Indonesian tsunami occurred, as I was silent before the Lord, I heard the Lord say to me, “America should take this as a warning!” He implied the Indonesian tsunami. I felt my heart sink and felt fear and reverence of the Lord. I also knew that America and the rest of the world wouldn’t consider the Indonesian tsunami as a judgment of God even though the level of destruction and death was of biblical proportions, it would go ignored.

    Judgment Came in 2005

In the hurricane season of 2005 America suffered three powerful hurricanes of which Katrina was the first. On Sunday morning, August 28, 2005, when I saw Katrina increase in strength from a category 2 to a category 5 hurricane almost overnight, I knew this was a storm of judgment to come upon America. Katrina was briefly the fourth most intense Atlantic hurricane on record on August 28 and soon to be surpassed by hurricanes Rita and Wilma in the following weeks, which made this the most intense hurricane season going back to 1850. Was this going to be America’s tsunami?

Katrina’s storm surge heights at landfall peaking at around 25 feet as they came ashore, which were the highest ever recorded in U.S. history, surpassing the previous height set by Hurricane Camille in 1969. Katrina was also the largest hurricane of its strength to approach the United States in recorded history; its massive size caused devastation over 100 plus miles from the center. The impact of the storm surge caused major or catastrophic damage along the coastlines of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, including the cities of Mobile, Alabama, Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi.

I heard several TV news reporters declaring Katrina as ‘America’s tsunami’ without even knowing how prophetic their words were at the time. Katrina brought America the destruction of cites and the displacement of millions of people. A total of 1723 people perished in Katrina along with being the costliest storm damage ever recorded estimated at 75 billion in Louisiana and 105 billion in Mississippi. Katrina changed the way people think about living on the coast which was made all the more evident when Rita at a category 5 caused a massive fear driven evacuation of more than a million people from the Texas gulf coast alone.

America suffered the judgment by God’s hand and ignored it all together. When Katrina was approaching, still hours away, I heard many well-meaning Christians praying for it to be still and go away because they didn’t understand that this was the judging hand of God in action. In a discussion with my pastor recently on the subject of Katrina, he said he was also praying for Katrina not to harm America when he heard God say to him, “It will happen.”

    Church Leaders Debate

Days of NoahOn one Christian TV program, I watched a select panel debate the question, “Whether Katrina was a judgment from God or not?” One member of the panel, who is a known prophet of God, said Katrina was a judgment of God but later backed away from his statement when the others on the panel refuted him.

If the people who present themselves as world and national church leader aren’t watching, can’t see or won’t proclaim what God is doing in these last days, are they any different from the religious people during Jesus’ earthly ministry? Jesus said they are as the blind guides leading the blind. Jesus spoke of the religious leadership of his day like this:

“You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you: ‘THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.’ “After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, “Hear and understand.”{It is} not what enters into the mouth {that} defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.” Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?” But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted.” “Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” Mat. 15:7-14

God has never been politically correct nor will He be so. He is the God that changes not. Jesus Christ {is} the same yesterday and today and forever. Heb. 13:8 I believe most world and national ministries prefer not to discuss the subject of God’s judgment fearing that a firestorm of criticism might be launched against them. It’s a sign of our times; it’s just not politically correct to pronounce that God judges nations according to their deeds no matter how scriptural it is.

Jesus said, “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Mat. 24: 37-39

What did they not understand until it was too late? Judgment! God had pronounced His judgment upon them and was going to flood the entire earth unless they repented and turned from their wickedness. They ignored the warnings! They ignored the preacher Noah speaking the words of warning from God. They chose to continue to do what they wanted to do rather than turn from evil.

I see the Church, asleep, deaf, blind and blemished as it is busily carrying on without adjusting its course as if the world will continue on forever, and all the signs of the times and the word of the Lord is saying to repent, to come out from among them or we will suffer the same wrath appointed to the wicked.

rev-317To the Laodicean church Jesus said, “‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.’So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.’Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and {that} the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ “Rev. 3:15-22

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mat. 25:31-34, 42 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Indeed we do live and have our being under God’s grace. However, a sinful nation is a sinful nation and God is a God of justice that changes not. He will judge nation by nation according to each nation’s deeds. If God doesn’t judge America then He would have to go back and apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

No nation can be great if sin goes unchecked. God had made a promise that Abraham would become a great nation, so God let Abraham in on the pending destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. In a sense Sodom and Gomorrah were stinking to high heaven and God came to confirm that indeed this was the case. He sent two scout angels who validated the sin and got the righteous ones out of way of God’s judgment.

“since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed?”For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” And the LORD said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.”I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” Gen. 18:18-21

America is no longer a God-fearing nation nor resembles what our founding fathers established under the leadership of God’s truth and sovereign hand. Godly judgments will continue upon our nation until we repent of our wickedness and return to God. In the end there will only be two belief systems.

Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; {that is,} the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. 2 Th. 2:8-12

I believe America will turn back to God eventually but it will not be before the light of this great nation has all but been extinguished. Many climatologists will excuse the judgments as “global warming” and not see the hand of God at work. America will see many more harsh judgments in the coming months and years with ever increasing severity, even to the point of invasion from foreign armies dividing the nation in half. Internal strife and violent distractions will cause our leadership to turn their watchful focus from foreign threats to internal disruptions at a time when our enemies are saying, “Peace and Safety”.

    Prophecy 6-10-09

Indeed I have and will continue to judge this nation for as a harlot chases after her fleshly needs, so does this nation. I created America to be the jewel among the nations and she has become a hard stone which no longer shimmers in My light. The dullness in her leadership is staggering and causes me to wave my hand in front of their faces, but yet they do not see the ways of the Lord.

I tell the ones who name Me as Lord, to run for My cover and hide for a little while for there is a season coming upon this nation that will cause you to fear and tremble if it wasn’t for My covering. Draw near to Me, get ever closer to Me and you will find peace and rest for your weariness. The faith of yesterday will not be enough for the days ahead. You must grow in your faith and increase in hearing My voice for it is by hearing that you will know what to do.

Get your own oil and do not wait or depend on someone else, for they will only have enough oil for themselves. You must learn to carry your own walk in Me and not be a burden to others. I Am the Lord that cares for you. Trust in Me and Grow up now! Come into your faith! Be established as My Bride prepares for My return! The one that awaits to come is stirring in His chamber. Be still and listen for His voice and you will hear Him say, “Make yourself ready for the One who comes as a thief in the night!”

  • Elisha Followed Elijah to Capture His Anointing

“So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, while he was plowing with twelve pairs {of oxen} before him, and he with the twelfth. And Elijah passed over to him and threw his mantle on him. He left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, “Please let me kiss my father and my mother, then I will follow you.” And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?” So he returned from following him, and took the pair of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their flesh with the implements of the oxen, and gave {it} to the people and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him.” 1 Ki. 19:19-21.

fieldElisha demonstrated his desire to go forth and carry that mantle, so he went and slaughtered his oxen, broke up his plow, made a fire and offered up his oxen to the Lord as a sacrifice.  The sacrifice he was making was more than just burning the oxen and the plow! That oxen and plow were his way of making a living, it was his way to feeding himself and his family. It was his job and his identity and Elisha demonstrated that he was willing to give it all up to follow Elijah the man of God, in order to take hold of the mantel and capture his anointing.  Elisha was going to follow Elijah because he trusted God to take care of him even if it meant losing his source of income and leaving his home behind.

Here is what Holy Spirit revealed to me today. I did the same thing when an angel appeared to me in a dream in June of 2005. The angel said, “It’s time to go!” I said, “Am I being fired?” The angel said, “It’s time to go!” I said, “What about all my stuff?” He said, “You don’t need that anymore.” I got up from my desk, walked down a long hallway with the angel walking along to my left.  I was staring at the blazer the angel was carrying knowing it represented a mantel and realized, the only way to take hold of the mantel was to be obedient to the call of God, to quit my job and to follow Him.

My wife and I have done just as Elisha did. Elisha took the pair of oxen, sacrificed them, boiled their flesh with the implements of the plow, and fed the meat to the people. The he arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him. My wife and I have let go of our livelihood by sacrificing our jobs and careers, our income, our identity, our home, our friends, our church and our city to follow the call of God.  It sounds easy when we read about Elisha doing this, but try putting yourself in his sandals for a minute. When you’ve been established in a career for a number of years, you’re salary far exceeds your needs, you live in a beautiful home, have new cars, nice clothes and then one day you’re told by God to give it all up and follow God into the unknown, what then?!

And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” Mat. 8:34-35

The disciples gave up their livelihood to follow Jesus. Peter gave up his fishing business, Matthew his tax collector position and they questioned Jesus.  “Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You.” Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.” Mat. 10:28-30

Several years ago, we did as Elisha, we sacrificed our livelihood upon the Holy altar of God saying, “We desire the things of God more than the things of this world and we trust You to take care of us!” That makes me all the more certain that God will provide for us because we are willing to follow Him and His plan for our lives.

My wife and I both sensed in the Spirit that a “move” was coming. We had entries in our journals and God was showing us the location we would move and the house we would live in long before the word came for us to actually quit our jobs and to follow Him. My wife saw the move coming before I did but she ask God to show me as well, which is wisdom. She patiently waited for God to reveal the plan to me without hinting or saying a word about her revelation. She trusted God to show me as well then we would both be on the same page. This is vital for a successful move in God’s plan.

elijahI began seeing in the first of the year in 2003 but didn’t get the release from God to quit my job until June of the same year when the angel came in the dream. We were also in close consultation with the Pastors of the church in the city were we knew God was appointing us live and to attend church. God had led them through a similar move years prior to ours. They would caution us by saying, “Just be certain that you have heard God.”  When, and only when we knew beyond any doubt, did we resign from our positions and move.

If you’re going to yoke up with a minister of God you will follow in the same footsteps that they have walked in if you’re going to capture their anointing. Elisha followed Elijah to Gilgal (a wheel rolling), Bethel (house of God) and to Jericho (its moon, Jericho is a very fertile land). I like the symbolism of the three destinations Elisha followed Elijah to. When you put the meaning of the three names together, it says that Elijah and Elisha we’re rolling along to the house of God which is in a fertile land that shines like the moon.

I can’t stress enough that you have to know for certain, beyond any doubt, that you’ve heard God before sacrificing your livelihood, or you could end up with nothing.  All you will have accomplished is getting rid of your income, your possessions, your witness and quite possibly leading to anger with God because your expectations weren’t met. If you give away your things without God specifically telling you to, all you end up with is nothing and there’s no reward for that. Don’t be foolish with the things God has provided for you.

God doesn’t ask everyone to quit their jobs and move to the unknown. Often when someone gets saved, the first thing they want to do is quit their job and become a witness to the world. How about becoming a witness for God where you are currently before going out into the world? God requires us to follow Him with our hearts and to take up our cross daily where we are presently appointed regardless of what He has in His plan for our lives and futures.

You can’t think God told you to move, you have to know He told you to move and have multiple confirmations if necessary. It is a very Holy thing to God and if you take it lightly you will surely be in for a let down. Knowing God had directed you to move doesn’t mean it will be easy. In fact, to follow God where He leads you is a very difficult thing to do. Be certain that to take this step, it will be filled of trials, unknowns and darkness.  Fear will tear away at your faith, so that is why you must know without question that God has told you to move. The verse below says because I have heard what you said it illuminates my walk and lights up my path in the darkness of the unknown. God allows you only to see so far and no more at anyone time.

Thy word (speech, word, speaking)[is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

And I close with this…Know that if God is in it with you then you’re anointed to perform what He has required you to do. Stand in your faith, don’t waver, no matter how hard the times are, or how long they last, for with God all things come in seasons. You will get you life back…eventually!

    Hear God!!!!!

  • Vision of the Three Legged Donkey – End Times

Over five years ago, I was sitting in a congregation as the preacher began to speak about the second coming of Christ. The more he talked, the more excited he became telling of how the return of Christ would occur according to the pre-tribulation doctrine.

As I watched this display of the man’s egotism, the spirit within me was scratching in anguish for Holy Spirit had been showing me many things about the pre-tribulation doctrine that just weren’t correct. In anguish, I continued to listen as the preacher declared what I now know to be counterfeit doctrine, however the congregation was in full agreement with their amen’s and applause.

three legged donkeySuddenly, a vision was set before me and I was standing in an open field. The speaker I was listening to at the time, was sitting upon a donkey to my left. The preacher and donkey proceeded to trot along in front of me heading from my left to my immediate right, in a straight line. The preacher’s jaw was fixed as he looked straight ahead and didn’t notice me standing there.

I observed that the donkey was missing his front left leg! The two of them continued to trot past me and proceeded for several more steps before the donkey fell over hitting the ground landing on his left side.  The preacher fell to the ground in the process, rolled over and got up as quick as he could.  At that time, I heard God say, “Although the teaching is in error, the man will not perish.” The vision ended.

The preacher riding the donkey means that he is on board with the doctrine and parading it for others to see. By the preacher’s jaw being fixed means that he is stubborn and isn’t looking around for truth since he believes he already has it.

The donkey represents lowliness and stubbornness. The three legged donkey with the left front leg missing represents imbalance, instability and error in the doctrine. Falling over to the left means the doctrine goes opposite of God’s Word.

A wise man’s heart [is] at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.” Ecc. 10:2

And Jesus said to them, “Cast the net on the righthand side of the boat and you will find {a catch.}  So they cast, and they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.”  John 21:6  The disciples had fished all night on the left side of the boat, going left indicates leaning away from truth or God’s plan.

The donkey and preacher were traveling along a timeline. The donkey starting from my left and moved past me to my immediate right, meaning the pre-tribulation teaching has been taught for sometime and currently is the prevalent teaching.  My standing stationary represents the time point of when the vision occurred.

The donkey going past by several steps from where I was standing and falling over signifies that sometime in the future, the error of the pre-tribulation doctrine will be exposed.  Actual events prophesied in the Bible begin with evidence in the heavens and the earth.

pretribDangerous and difficult times will make many begin to question the pre-tribulation teaching as things begin to happen; Christians have been taught these things would only happen after the church was raptured away. Great fear will come upon many and they will realize they haven’t made spiritual preparation for the inevitable delay which will come upon the body of Christ.  Many will not be prepared for the delay and will perish for they have no flask filled with oil. Matthew 25:1-12.
The preacher in the vision loves God and pursues Him in an intimate way and has faithfully served for many years with a pure heart. The man is not foolish as in the parable of the ten virgins. However, loving God doesn’t prevent people from believing false doctrines taught by people trusted to know the truth.

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.” 1 Tim. 4:1

I am revealing this vision now along with other revelations because it is my hope that you will be willing to listen. I realize in the past this hasn’t been the case, however the time is short and the onset of serious world events is nigh upon the earth.

It takes humility and trust as a child to learn the truth of God. If you think you can use your intellect to understand His mysteries then you are already deep in error in your walk with Him. Theology is man’s attempt to explain what he doesn’t understand.

“Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Mt. 18:4

“Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it {at all.}” Lk. 18:17

I find that people are trusting in what they have been taught by respected seminaries and preached in most churches as the truth. The pre-tribulation doctrine is prevalent on the bookshelves in the Christian stores, Christian TV ministers declares it to be so, movies are made and conferences are held with speakers supporting this doctrine as absolute fact and revelation of God. Many might ask how could it be incorrect if it’s taught by almost everyone in the church with few exceptions?

As long as ministers of the gospel keep parroting what others are teaching without seeking Holy Spirit as the Revealer of Truth, there will continue to be error, misunderstanding and division in our church doctrine. As long as Bible scholars rely on their own intelligence to understand Biblical mysteries, there will always be error in doctrine and we will have hundreds of different church denominations -just as we do today.

“As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27

When Apostle Paul first preached the gospel at Berea they listened politely and then went and examined the writings to see if what Paul was saying lined up with the scriptures.

“Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily {to see} whether these things were so.” Acts 17:11

Unless we’re willing to trust Holy Spirit to teach us the truth and we lay down all our biases on Biblical teaching and become a blank slate for truth from God, then we’ll not be able to accurately learn or discern truth. It’s not easy to do these things, but God gives grace to the humble. “But He gives a greater grace. Therefore {it} says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” James 4:6

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.” 2 Tim. 2:15

“One who teaches needs to make sure what they are teaching is absolutely correct as confirmed by Holy Spirit. Let not many {of you} become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.” James 3:1

We must approached God in prayer and humbly lay down everything we’ve been taught and remain open to Holy Spirit’s teaching.  This is especially important when Holy Spirit is flagging such an errant doctrine to the body of Christ.

“{There is} one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Eph. 4:4-6

Therefore, at this time, I’m releasing this word, accepting my obligation to God to warn as many as will listen from far and wide.

“He who receives a prophet in {the} name of a prophet shall receive a prophet‘s reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.” Mat. 10:41

    Posted Comment by reader:

I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for your faith in our Father and his faithfulness to you and your wife through grace and divine inspiration. Reading your personal experiences of the hand-in-hand walk with our Savior and thru the wisdom and understanding of Holy Spirit has truly encouraged me to seek Him with all of my mind, my heart, my soul and my strength. We serve an amazing Creator who desires us to have a very intimate relationship with Him. Your recent “vision” of the Three-Legged Donkey-End Times and Millions Will Perish-End Times has opened my servant heart to receive God’s truth as opposed to steadfastly holding onto the more popular belief of a pre-tribulation rapture. It has encouraged me to grow “deep roots” into our Father and to prepare extra flasks of oil for my lamp should Christ tarry his return. Dressed daily in the full body armor as provisioned in Ephesians, we must be prepared to protect our hearts in these last days and conquer through the power of Holy Spirit and in the grace, peace and love of our beautiful Christ.
Blessings upon you and your home.

  • How to Make Successful Directional Changes

detourSome Christians are seeking to find the plan that God has for their life but forget the fundamentals of seeking first the Kingdom of God and then all these things will be added unto you. Learning how to get quiet on the inside and grow your relationship with the Lord will help you begin to hear God impressions upon your spirit in whatever way He chooses to convey them.

“But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for {us} with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to {the will of} God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to {His} purpose.” Rom. 8: 25-28

What is happening in your life in the present, whether good or bad, is a result of what you have or have not prayed out in the days past, and what happens in the future will be a result of your present prayer life.

At times, the Holy Spirit will impress you to pray about certain matters that concern His plan for your life. You’ll have an anointing or unction of the Holy Spirit to pray but if you ignore Holy Spirit’s promptings that unction will lift. If you keep ignoring the Holy Spirit leading He will stop dealing with you about this issue because you’ve become callous and insensitive to His promptings.

Why would God give more revelation to an individual who is ignoring what He has already revealed to them.

    Directional Changes (Transition)

Directional changes in our walk are necessary if we are going to walk in God’s will for our life. Some examples of directional changes are geographical relocation, employment, church affiliation, education, relationships, stepping down or into ministry, etc.

Directional changes also present the greatest challenge in the Christian walk because it requires so many aspects of our spiritual being to walk in the perfect will of God. The Bible is full of the wisdom of God but it doesn’t contain detailed information involving directional changes for your personal life. Those things come from the leading of the Holy Spirit.

In order to make a successful directional change in the Christian walk understand that it is made up of five parts.

    1.) Revelation

The “revelation” is what you heard God say to you however he chose to say it, either in your spirit, hearing His thoughts, His voice, dreams, visions, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, prophecy, etc.

    2.) Interpretation

What did God say, how did He say it and what is the meaning. Always hold up before God what you receive from Him. Don’t jump to a quick conclusion what He means with out first getting His understanding on the matter. This is critical and if you don’t do it you will certainly fail in successfully following God’s plan for your life.

    3.) Confirmation

Ask God for to confirm what you understand and remain objective and open trusting Him to show if you have heard him correctly or not.

    4.) Submit It

Submit what you are hearing to someone who has proven fruit of following God’s plan for their life. This may be your pastor, mentor, elder, or someone who you know exhibits Godly wisdom in their life.

    5.) Application

Find out from God how to implement what you now understand He wants you to do. This often is the most difficult piece of the following God’s plan for our life.

    How To Hear

directionalIt is vital to read and study the New Testament and the other books of the Bible in order to gauge what you hear lines up with His word. God will not ever violate what He has already spoken to us in the written text.  There are other voices besides the voice of God so be sure and become a student of the word. 2 Tim. 2:15

When you hear a word, run it through these filters to see if it passes the following test:

    • 1) Does it align with God’s word?
    • 2) Does it align with His character, His nature?
    • 3) Does it build faith?
    • 4) Does it sound like something God would say?

If what you heard will pass this test then it’s pretty safe to say you heard God.

Determine what you’ll do at God’s prompting before hand. Make a decision to respond instantly to Holy Spirit’s leading. As you consistently practice obedience to Holy Spirit, especially in the small things that come up in the Spirit, you will consistently grow in hearing and be able to hear what God has to say about more important matters for your life. You will grow in the wisdom of God.

If you don’t practice following God in the small, quiet promptings throughout the day you will never be able to following Him confidently in the bigger things. A healthy God relationship is developed over the course of time spent walking with the conscious presence of God throughout each day.

The scripture below is a “key” verse in following God’s plan for your life. If you don’t adhere to it you will find it difficult if not impossible to follow God’s plan for your life.

“and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need. 1 Thes. 4:11-12

If you find yourself in need examine your own life to see if you are following each aspect of 1 Thes. 4:11-12. It is vital to do! Are you having trouble hearing God, then examine your life to see if you’re living a quiet life? Is your behavior toward outsiders of the faith appropriate? Then perhaps you need to attend your own business, get busy with your duties and be quiet. Do these things and your needs will come easily when you ask God for them, exactly right on time.

    • Asking God for your needs and the needs of others and seeing Him faithfully supply them right before your eyes is God’s plan to establish trust so you will follow Him into a greater and more intimate relationship. LK. 11: 9-13 (Ask, Seek, Knock)
    • Knowing the will of God and walking in the will of God is contingent upon your prayer life and upon being established in the word.
    • The more time you spend waiting before the Lord in the word and in prayer, the more sure you will be of the next step to take.
    • In God’s presence, what is not of God in your life will gradually fall away. (Weights, strongholds, sins will fall off your life)
    • As you practice out the mystery of God’s plan for your life according to the word, the Lord will take you deeper in the realm of prayer than you’ve ever been before. (not mystical or floating, but an intimate level of communion with Him)
    • It should be as natural for the believer to be led by the Spirit and to walk by faith as it is for a fish to swim in water and a bird to fly in the air.

    Reference Scriptures: Prov. 3:5-6, Prov. 4:20-22, Lk 11: 9-13, 1 Thes. 4:11-12

    More Keys to Hearing

First believe that you can hear His voice. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;” JN 10:27

    • Make a decision to always stay sensitive to those gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit.
    • Set aside daily time to wait upon the Lord in prayer and in the Word to discover His guidance and direction for your life. You can’t just come to God when you want to and expect to grow in hearing God.
    • Wait long enough in prayer for all your physical senses and emotions to be brought into captivity so they no longer dominate you. The more you practice this the easier it becomes to become still in your thoughts and body.
    • Spend time in God’s presence, ministering to the Lord in praise and worship. This will quiet your mind and strengthen your spirit. (worship means to bow down, prostrate oneself)
    • Praying in your prayer language (tongues) will build you up (edify) your spirit man and fine tune your spiritual senses. Pray in the Spirit long enough and you will get deeper over into the Spirit and you will be able to differentiate between your soul and your spirit man.
    • Praying in the spirit is like when an astronaut fires the retro rockets on the spacecraft to adjust the speed, direction or orientation of the spacecraft. When we pray in the spirit the speed (timing), direction (transitions) and orientation are adjusted so we arrive at our destination per God’s plan.. If NASA wants to place a spacecraft on the Mars they have to aim where Mars will be not where it is currently at for a successful landing.
    • Journaling – Record the dreams, visions, impressions, prophecies, flow of thoughts, rhema word in a journal on a consistent basis over a long period of time. It’s like putting a puzzle together one piece at a time. Over a long enough period of time the puzzle begins to take shape and it’ picture is displayed.By writing down what you see in dreams, visions, prophecies, etc you’re showing God that you’re honoring His voice and that you place value upon what He is telling you. It is a fact that within a few minutes or even before waking up from a dream that many details have already faded from our memory. Rehearse what you heard or saw in the dream when you wake during the night and record it in your journal as soon as possible. Do you remember all the dreams you had last week, last month, last years? The greater the revelation you receive, the greater the challenge which lies ahead. You’ll need everything God conveyed to you in your journal to strengthen your faith when things aren’t going like you thought they would. That is one of the greatest reasons to record the revelation.  Hab. 2:1-2
    • Waiting in silence before him and actively listening (being attune) to Him at all times even during your busy day.
    • Not reasoning trying to figure it out in your natural understanding.
    • Be steadfast in faith and trust.
    • Quiet Time – Get still long enough on the inside. Set a table next to where you have quiet time and when your busy body wants to think about your busy day take the time to write down the events of your busy day and tell your flesh that you don’t have to think about that now it’s covered. Tell your flesh and your soul to be quiet that you’re having quiet time with God now, so it doesn’t interrupt. Tell your body that after quiet time you’ll take care of your body’s needs.Once your body & mind are quiet, listen way down deep in your innermost being to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. “Don’t be lazy here and stop short of hearing what the Lord is saying to you in your spirit. “If you become spiritually lethargic, you could end up following your own soulful desires all the time thinking you’re following God’s plan for your life.

wrongwaySearch around to find Holy Spirit’s leading during your quiet time when you don’t sense the anointing. You may read the word awhile waiting, then pray for a bit still waiting, pick up a book reading and waiting, try praying in the spirit and usually somewhere in the process you will begin to sense the leading of the Holy Spirit. Practice this often and even if during your entire quiet time you never sensed the leading of the Holy Spirit don’t be discourage, return again and again until you do. It will happen and more often as you continue to practice the presence of the Lord. It is a very holy pursuit and it pleases God. He will show up, that is His promise.

    • Meditate on God’s word continually especially when you lay down to sleep or wake up in the night. “My eyes anticipate the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word.” Ps. 119:48

Ministering to the Lord means: Linger in His presence, loving and worshiping Him for all that He is and for all He has done for you. “It means to drink in His Glory and power and to let Him saturate every part of your being.” Acts 13:2 – “As they ministered to the Lord & fasted” Ministering to the Lord you create the kind of atmosphere in which the Holy Spirit can speak to your heart.)

Over the course of time you’ll understand between your own wants and desires and what God wants for you. Then we capture the heart of God in a certain matter and know how and when to make the directional change.

Be still and know I AM God! Ps. 46:10

Learn to Distinguish Between Your Spirit and Soul

You have to learn to distinguish between your soulful thoughts and desires and the Lord’s leading in your spirit. How do I do that?

“Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Any man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts right before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and {then} comes to the prophet, I the LORD will be brought to give him an answer in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,” Ezk.14:4

“For the word of God [is] living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb. 4:12

    • Being well grounded in the Word is essential to distinguishing between soul and spirit.
    • Being established in the Word will also help you learn recognize the voice of satan as well. The devil will try and speak subtle lies to deceive you.

“You are of [your] father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own [resources], for he is a liar and the father of it.”  JN 8:44

    • “This great dragon–the ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world–was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.” Rev.12:9
    • God speaks to your spirit. What the Holy Spirit says will always line up with His word. God will never lead your steps beyond the principles of His word.
    • Examine your motives for taking the step you’re considering. Why do I want to do this? (Do I want to do this for my own selfish benefit or because someone else is doing this?) “For all who are led by the Spirit, these are the sons of God.” Rom. 8:14
    • Is this something my soulful nature wants to do or something God wants me to do?

(Sometimes it takes a considerable amount of time staying in the presence of God to settle those questions)

Misleading Comes From:  The truth of God is ministering to your own spirit, constantly feeding your spirit by meditating on the word of God and building a relationship by fellowshipping with the Lord is the most important thing you can do to develop your spirit, so you can ascertain God’s will for you life. (Only then can you live in the abundance God has provided for you.)
    • My own emotions (HALT, hurt, angry, lonely, tired)
    • My own personality
    • Failure to study God word. 2 Tim. 2:15
    • Disobedience – (If I am unwilling to follow God in the small things I will never be able to follow Him in the bigger things in life).
    • Remaining in the mental realm (reasoning will take you out of the plan of God if you continue in it long enough. You will miss His will for your life when you stay in your natural thinking.
    • Remaining in the physical realm
    • Preconceived concepts of God are futile and an impediment to your walk with Him.
    • Forgetting that the spiritual realm is the root, the stem and the ground of which all else grows
    • Not following your conscious (gut) or peace.

Now That I’ve Heard God Then What?

stop“My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.” JN. 7:6 Jesus was speaking about His ministry when the disciples implored Him to reveal His ministry at the Feast of Tabernacles.

Sometimes it takes long seasons of waiting before the Lord in prayer in order to get your motives pure and your priorities sorted according to the word and distinguish between the clamoring of your soul and the voice of the spirit. Just because God tells you to do something it doesn’t necessarily mean immediately. Hold up what He has told you before Him and seek His guidance in the matter.

If God tells you He wants you to start a new church don’t immediately get your shovel and begin to break ground. Or if He tells you to quit your job find out how he wants you to do that. Hold everything He reveals to you in His words, dreams, visions and prophecies before Him to get His understanding in each matter. It is essential in following God’s plan for your life.

Not all delays are due to you. In order for you to fulfill what God has for you requires other individuals to align with God’s plan as well in order for you to step into yours. These are circumstances in which you may never be made aware, however when the circumstance changes, doors begin to open.

There are so many contributing factors to list. A good example can be your destiny is awaiting an inventions or technology deployment to become main stream before you can begin what you have been given by God to perform. The Internet has allowed many to step into a new kind of ministry which wasn’t possible only a few years ago. Before TV became main stream no one could become a TV evangelist or build a world wide broadcast ministry. And even that required the development of rockets that could deliver satellites to space.

What if I’ve been doing that and I still haven’t heard anything?

Keep doing it; don’t place a time limit on God! Keep on seeking the Lord in the word and prayer.

If you want to be led by the Spirit always be willing to respond to His leading, even if it doesn’t’ agree with your own human reasoning, expectations or desires.

Don’t hinder your ability to discern His guidance through wrong thinking or selfish ambitions.

Stay teachable and open your heart to anything the Lord may tell you. He will teach you His own ways and direct into His plan for My life.

Remember, We’re seeking Him and His Kingdom first and then all these things will be added unto us.

  • Influence – Matthew 10:35

influenceThursday morning March 5, 2009, when in quite time, I heard the Father say one word to me, “Influence” and then He gave me the scripture Matthew 10:35. He was teaching that His influence must be preeminent in our lives over that of a father, mother, mother in law. All acquaintances must take a back seat to Him. The entire verse speaks of influence. Since the beginning, God used His spoken word to influence matter and create the heavens and the world. This word is a vital key for the preparation of the Bride of Christ! When you think about it…It’s all about influence and Jesus wants to have influence with His children, His Bride.
Jesus Came to Be Our Source of Influence:

He came to inject His influence more than even the most important people or relationship in our lives. Today Jesus wants to teach us about influence.

    Influence means:

    1. The act or power of producing an effect without apparent exertion of force or direct exercise of command. b. corrupt interference with authority for personal gain. c. the power or capacity of causing an effect in indirect or intangible ways. To sway means use a controlling influence. Merriam – Webster Dictionary

So many times in the gospels of Matthew through John the phrase, “and He began to teach” is used. Jesus began to exert His influence to the His disciples and all who would come to listen to Him. Jesus came to show us the Father and by teaching the word of God and by His life the world was never the same since. It’s been almost two-thousands years since Jesus was crucified and His influence changed the world forever.

If you want to go on with God and follow Him then you will eventually have to end some acquaintances which have influenced your life in worldly, ungodly ways or have the potential to influence your life instead of Christ.

You will have to end your connections with old familiar things such as houses, occupation, cities, identities and most people your formerly knew.

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. Mat. 10: 33-39

peopleJesus is teaching that His ways, wisdom, purpose and direction for our lives must have preeminence over man’s influence. His influence must take preeminence over any outside influence or interference. Most often family, friends, society, media, governments and the like will influence you in their ways, their tradition, their understanding instead of allowing you to be totally influenced by God’s ways.

An example of influence is how children’s political beliefs usually align with their parents political beliefs. If your parents were democrats, it is more than likely you will align your beliefs to that particular party. If your parents were republicans, you’ll most likely lean to the Republican Party.  This holds true to religious beliefs as well. If you were raised Roman Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Church of Christ or some other religion you are most likely to follow their doctrines instead of the full gospel message as taught to by Holy Spirit. In other words let Holy Spirit influence you instead of the doctrines of man’s theology. If you do you will soon discover new truths that you never saw before and the walk in Christ becomes even more real, exciting and fun.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. JN. 14:26

    Opinions or the Word:

When someone asks you what your opinion is about a matter it is vital that you point them to what the word of God says and not your own opinion. Many believers will and can only discuss a matter through their theological understanding or their church doctrine. When I asked the Father what theology meant to Him He responded with, “Its man’s attempt to explain what he doesn’t understand.”

Often when a person has a, “renewing of faith” experience more times than not they will go back to the same religious affiliation in which they were raised up in. In some cases what God has ignited in their hearts begins to fade due to the teaching, doctrines and understanding of man and Christ influence dwindles.

Jesus told the Pharisees when they applied their influence upon a person (proselyte) that they would make them twice the child of hell as they were.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. Mat. 23:15

Jesus’ Yoke of Influence Brings Rest:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Mat. 11:28-30

    Satan’s Influence:

antichristAfter Jesus told the disciples that he would suffer, be rejected by the elders, and be killed and rise again then Peter took him aside to rebuke him.

And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And He was stating the matter plainly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and *said, “Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.” And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross (and begin dying to self) and follow Me. Mat. 8:31-34

It is a safe saying that wherever there is sin in our life there is an evil influence working against us.

“for our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual (forces) of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph. 6:12

“And through his shrewdness He will cause deceit to succeed by his influence; And he will magnify {himself} in his heart, And he will destroy many while {they are} at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of princes, But he will be broken without human agency. Dan. 8:25

    Deluding Influence:
To those who will not (refuse) receive the love of the truth at some point God will send upon them a deluding influence and they will believe the lie of the Satan and his antichrist and false prophet. This spirit is at work already in the world today. It is a strong spirit and will over power all who don’t know the truth of God’s word and walk in a personal relationship with Him.

{that is,} the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,  and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 2 Th. 2:9-11

    Religious Influence:

Christian influence is a good thing. With few exceptions nations that are not founded on Christian beliefs fall behind in education at all levels, science, quality of life and religious freedom is suppressed and democracy is non-existent.

As Christian we are to be doing our best to influence the people and the world around us with the example of our life, our faith, our joy and love.

We have allot of competition for souls today, perhaps more than ever before in the history of man. If the church doesn’t wake up soon and let Christ once again influence it, it will become more irrelevant than it already is.  Christ warns us to come out of the worlds influence.

babylon”I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues” Rev. 18:4

By forbearance a ruler may be persuaded, And a soft tongue breaks the bone. Prov. 25:15

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to put Jesus to death. Mat. 27:20

“And the master said to the slave, ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel {them} to come in, so that my house may be filled. Lk. 14:23

And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women. Acts 17:4

“You see and hear that not only in Ephesus, but in almost all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a considerable number of people, saying that gods made with hands are no gods {at all.} Acts 19:26

But the centurion was more persuaded by the pilot and the captain of the ship than by what was being said by Paul. Acts 27:11

Some were being persuaded by the things spoken, but others would not believe. Acts 28:24

But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the presence of all, “If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how {is it that} you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews? Gal. 2:14

Those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply so that they will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. Gal. 6:12

    World Influence:

God clearly tells us in the bible not to allow the things of the world to shape our beliefs and stain us. The word conformed means to “conform one’s self to another’s pattern.” This is done by allowing the other pattern to influence our mind and character instead of God.

The world influence blinds a person from seeing the light of the gospel and making friendship with the world is an act of hostility toward God.

media“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Rom. 12:2

“in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Cor. 4:4

“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.” Eph. 2:1-3

You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4

    Influence to Cause to Stumble:

“but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” Mat. 18:6

There’s no healing for bad behavior nor is there a prayer line in which you can get in that would possibly every remove bad behavior from you. It doesn’t exist.

Jesus taught cut it out of your life! Paul said, “Stop sinning!” A good example of bad behavior is critical words, judgmental attitudes, combativeness, lying, coarse jesting, jealousy, hatred, anger, strife, dissensions, envying, carousing and all manner of works of the flesh. These are all choices we make each day.

Renew your mind to what the word of God says and cut off all bad behavior.

“If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, Mar. 9:43

Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak {this} to your shame. 1 Cur. 15:34

    Social Influences:

Social influence occurs when an individual’s thoughts or actions are affected by other people. Social influence takes many forms and can be seen in conformity, socialization, peer pressure, obedience, leadership, persuasion, sales, and marketing. Traits such as charisma, reputation(credibility), beauty, wealth, peer pressure, position such as a good job, a platform such as politician, movie star, star athlete, celebrities, status as well fame all can be used to exert social influence.

  • I Am Who He Says I Am

    II Peter 1:3-4 (The Message)

“EVERYTHING that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously GIVEN to you by getting to know, personally and intimately, the ONE who invited you to God!  The best invitation you ever received!  You have also been given absolutely terrific promises – your ticket to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust.”

chainsDid you read that?  Read it again.  Slowly.  Chew on it.  Your mind won’t grasp it, but your heart and spirit will sense the magnitude of it.  This scripture has been the source of much meditation for me over the past year.  It says to me that regardless of how long I have battled, struggled and wrestled with the same stronghold in my life, He has ALREADY given me EVERYTHING I need to overcome it and lead a life pleasing to Him.  I know, we’ve heard those words before and we tend to read them with a numbness without really HEARING it.  As I have meditated on this scripture, I began to realize that who I AM is the person that is FREE of that stronghold.  The false belief system in my mind was that because I have always been a certain way, or practiced certain behavior, or yielded to the same specific bait that the enemy brought across my path, that it was just a part of who I am.  But that’s a lie!  You see, who I am, and who you are, is the person that is created in God’s image.

As I would find myself yielding over and over to the same stronghold, I would become angry with myself….but I would still yield.  I would feel like a monster and a horrible person….but I would still yield.  I would become sick at my stomach at my repeated behavior…..but I would still yield.  I would cry buckets of tears before God accepting once again His mercy and forgiveness…..but I would still yield.  I would say to God, “I don’t know how NOT to be this way!  As far back in my life as I can remember, I’ve been this way!  I don’t even know how to NOT do this!”

That’s when He brought me to that scripture….and began to lovingly show me that the first step in being free of that stronghold was to realize….that it was not me.   He reached down into the deepest places of who I am, because only the One that created me knows where to touch, and He whispered, “You believe that you’re that person.  You believe the lie the enemy has told you.  But I don’t care how long you’ve practiced that stronghold, or how many times you’ve chosen it over me….I did not create you that way and you are not that person!”

potter's handsSo, who am I?   And who better to show me who I am than the only One that truly knows?  Because He fashioned me.  He molded me.  He spoke forth plans for my life.  He put gifts inside of me.  He put laughter and joy inside of me.  He filled me with His peace that passes all of my own understanding.  And He said, “You are mine.”

So as I have progressed in soaking my mind in the fact that the real me has nothing to do with the behavior I once yielded to….and this is definitely not an overnight process…..and as I continue looking into the mirror of His Word that tells me who I am, the stronghold gets further and further away.  And the picture of how I see myself becomes clearer each day.  And old things become new.  And weights that once weighed me down fall away.   And although the picture of the real me is only a glimpse right now, I am beginning to believe that it’s the truth.  Why?  Because He said so.  And He has never lied to me.  He has never left me.  He has never presented Himself as anything other than Who He is.  And He is trustworthy.  And He is faithful.  And He has loved me every moment.  And He has hurt for me everytime I believed the enemy’s lie.  And He has picked me up.  And He has dusted me off.   A million times.

I love Him.  You are who He says you are.  Believe it.  Think on it.  Meditate on it.

  • The Stretching

stretchingNote Added and Updated July 18, 2011

This blog was written well before the Lord starting showing me the spiritual adultry of organzied religion. I was taught in my earlier years to submit to the pastor or you would be out of God’s will. In truth the Bible teaches for us to submit one to another. In the years that followed this blog God opened my spiritual eyes to the whoredom of the church system and showed how His people are committing spiritual adultry to the Babylon spirit by engaging in a man-made church system. I am no longer a part of the church system and have been shown many more things about it which I keep to myself for now. Read ,

    End of note,

On Sunday just after my Pastor closed the service, I had a love offering I wanted to place in his right hand, which is sometimes jokingly referred to as “a Holy Ghost handshake.” I stepped up on the platform where my Pastor was standing, took him by his right hand as we embraced one another. We both began to weep then suddenly our tears turned to joyous laughter. We laughed in unison under the unction of Holy Spirit and my Pastor began saying, “He’s stretching me!” as he grabbed his abdomen. “It hurts, He’s stretching me!” I laid my hands on him and spoke, “Increase of more of God, more increase Lord, stretch him Lord!”

God is stretching my Pastor’s ministry, his responsibilities, his beliefs and his territory.

    Prophecy: 5/25/2008

I am making a way for more, more ministry, more of Me, more input, more of My realm. Increase, increase in the things of God. Take solace in the fact that the days ahead require more of the power of God working in the people of God.

Mainstream ministries are content where they’re at, but the fledgling ones are hungry for more and who is like Me to confound the wise? Hidden away out of the sight of man and media, did I not do this with David the shepherd boy? In him was the destiny of a king as he stepped through his assignment in the fields of his father.

Even My son Jesus was hidden among the people while I prepared Him for His assignment. No one knows the heart and the intent of a man’s heart but the Spirit of the Lord. When I choose a man, I intend for that man to be fully equipped in every area of his ministry.

These are the times in which those who have made the necessary preparation to begin to shine forth as they come from the fields and from the hidden places in the earth. For these are the days of the end and I will raise up a people who have My heart and are willing to do whatever is necessary to win the lost souls.

Remember to whom is given much, much is required…says the Lord.

  • How to Grow the Anointing

anointingYears ago I found myself absorbed in watching a particular TV ministry that moved in such a powerful anointing. I would see rows of people fall out under the Spirit or by the touch of God when this person ministered.  The things I witnessed could only be done by the Spirit of God. The man’s ministry wasn’t being done for entertainment but it was truly a legitimate and miraculous.

As I watched night after night I began to ask God this question, “How do I grow in the anointing?” I asked this question allot over the next several weeks and would keep asking God until I got the answer. After all Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.” Mat. 7:7

Then the answer came in the night when I heard the Father say, “Prayer, supplication and determination, Luke 18”. I got out of bed and headed to my prayer closet with my Bible in hand, thinking what’s Luke 18, what’s in this chapter that answers my question?

Luke 18 speaks of a widow who persistently petitions a judge for legal protection from an opponent, the judge did not fear God nor respect man. However, after a while seeing that the woman was not going to stop petitioning him for legal protection, he relented and gave her legal protection.

In verse 7, “Now shall not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?” There was my answer, the answer that would change my Christian life forever. I knew what I had to do to grow in the anointing, I must spend a greater amount of time in prayer, supplication and do it with determination until I see the anointing increase in my life, until I’m satisfied.

prayerBrother Branham said so many years ago, “You’ve gone as far with God as you’re ever going to go until you’re willing to pay a greater price.”  Are you satisfied where you are spiritually? If so then good enough, but if you desire more of an interaction between you and heaven, if you desire more of an intimacy and more of a relationship with Jesus Christ, then perhaps you could consider how you could give more of yourself to Him.

John G. Lake was a man who had been in ministry for a good many years with some success but he hungered for more. After re-consecrating his life to God, more anointing came upon him but he still felt on the edge of a greater spiritual realm but was unable to enter in fully, leaving him unsatisfied.

Although many people were being healed by the power of God during the next few years, John G. Lake remained hungry for more of God, he walked down the streets of Chicago with his soul crying out, “Oh God,” as people stared at him.  All his friends would tell John that he had a beautiful anointing with the fullness of the Spirit, but he would declare over and over again that there was more.

Through out the years he pressed in for more of God and through various encounters with God he kept growing in the anointing and eventually was baptized in the Holy Spirit and lived out his life in the anointing of God  impacting his generation around the world.

focusOur focus must get off ourselves, we must not live in our own self, our own thoughts, our soul, our feelings, our attitudes, trusting in our understanding and reasoning and leaning on our own abilities.  If we do these things, we will never move beyond where we are now, in fact eventually we may become discouraged, cold and lawless to His commandments.

God is not a respecter of person; His word says, “And without faith it is impossible to please {Him}, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and {that} He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Heb11:16. I remember years ago I dealt with a great internal struggle with this scripture.  I wondered if the effort that I put into seeking God would be worth the reward I’d receive by putting in all the time and effort necessary.

“Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth”. Col. 3:1-2

To grow in the anointing of God and fulfill what He desires for you to do, will require that you wait in prayer on Him and you set aside time for Him daily. To grow in the anointing you must sow back to God much of the anointing He gives you and that is done by spending time with Him. The more time you spend with Him, equates to more anointing operating in your life.

Where you are currently in your Christian walk is a direct result of your prayer life. In other words your life will never exceed your prayer life. If you are not satisfied with where your life is now, then take an honest look back over the course of years and see if you can recognize if your prayer life is missing the three key elements to growing the anointing and walking in the plan of God, “prayer, supplication and determination”.

    Blessing To You!

  • Portals of Heaven, Ancient Gates

I believe understanding the things of God is vital to walking in the fullness of what God has given us in the new covenant through Jesus Christ. I by no means have full understanding, but I do have access to the Father in heaven and so do you.

    So why talk about portals?

The church body, for the most part, has little or no knowledge of the existence of portals and does not recognize their significance.  Historically, God has used portals in the events of man and continues to do so today.

When we sing the verse in Psalm 24:7 about the gates or ancient doors we have no idea what we are singing about but it sounds good to our ears.  Oh saints of God, I hope that somehow I may be able to reveal  the beauty of what God is saying to us through this verse.

“Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up O ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in!” Ps. 24:7

What are ancient doors and ancient gates?

Ancient gates or doors are portals of access established by God from the third heaven to earth.  They are unobstructed by demonic interference in which angels travel from heaven and back again while provisions  are delivered, transportation, translation and revelation are given to man.

In Daniel 10:13 he is informed that the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding (standing opposite) the angel for twenty one days.  Michael one of the chief princes (angels) came to help fight through the portal in the demonic land of Babylon to give Daniel understanding.

In the book of Genesis, chapter 28, verses 10-17 the story of Jacob’s dream is recorded. “He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.” Gen. 28:12

In verse 13 God is standing at the top of the ladder.  “And behold, the LORD stood above it and said, “I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants.”

These verses are a wonderful account of how God reveals a portal in a dream to man a prophesy Jacob’s destiny to him.

Once in praise and worship at our church, I saw a portal open above me that looked like a tornado and at the top of the swirling cloud was this face smiling and waving at me.  It only lasted a few seconds but it was a gate or ancient door that opened up for me.

     Mt. Horeb

God established a portal from the third heaven to Mt. Horeb.

Elijah was instructed to leave from sitting under a juniper tree to Mt. Horeb to see and hear what God had to show him. Sometimes it is necessary to leave from where you are to another place to hear or experience God; wise men still travel to see Him!

“So He said, ‘Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD.’ And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; {but} the LORD {was} not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, {but} the LORD {was} not in the earthquake.” 1 Kings 19:11

Proverbs 8:34 teaches that a man will be blessed who sits, and waits, and listens at the Lord’s gate.

Oh, that You would rend the heavens {and} come down, That the mountains might quake at Your presence–As fire kindles the brushwood, {as} fire causes water to boil– To make Your name known to Your adversaries, {That} the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things which we did not expect, You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence. Is. 64:1-3

“Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts.”

In Genesis 19:1 Lot is waiting at the gate of Sodom when two angels appear to him. In the ancient world, the gate of the city was not only an outlet, but also where meetings of great importance occurred.

“And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.”

In Genesis 18:21 the Lord states that He will go down to investigate or scout it out for Himself to see this evil which is stinking up the heavens.  “I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.”

The “go down” happens when the angels appear at the gate or ancient door of the city.

     Portals for Provision

In Psalm 78:23-25, God opened the doors of heaven and fed the Hebrews in the desert the food of angels.

“Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, and had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven, man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.”

    Ezekiel – Portals Opened

Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth {day} of the fourth month, while I was by the river Chebar among the exiles, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. Ezk. 1.1

The hand of the LORD was on me there, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you.” So I got up and went out to the plain; and behold, the glory of the LORD was standing there, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar, and I fell on my face. Ezk. 3:22-23

It came about in the sixth year, on the fifth {day} of the sixth month, as I was sitting in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell on me there. Then I looked, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of a man; from His loins and downward {there was} the appearance of fire, and from His loins and upward the appearance of brightness, like the appearance of glowing metal. Ezk. 8:1-2

    Portals Over Geographical Locations

In the second chapter of Habakkuk we see the prophet faithful to watch and to see what the Lord will say to him and that what the Lord speaks,  to write it down. Habakkuk is waiting at the place where he faithfully goes to pray and wait upon the Lord.

Often God will establish a portal over a geographical location after long prayer and supplication has been made by a faithful servant of God.

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Hab. 2:1-2

In November of 2003 after moving from the Dallas area to Central Texas (the wilderness) I felt compelled by God to desperately pray for a well to be established in our home.  Read my blog titled “When God Fills the Well”. Read When God Fill the Well

That day, God established a portal in our home, and since then, our home hasn’t been the same. Witnessed by ourselves and others, at times, angels are seen coming and going into the earth on secret assignments as well as to bring us revelation, anointing, answers to our prayers and a sundry of things as God desires.

The Lord has promised us, that as long as we remain at our current location, the portal will be established;  When we leave the house the portal will be removed.

Portals can be established in certain geographical places and some are known today in the earth such as over Jerusalem. Many Christians who travel to Jerusalem report being flooded with revelation of the things of God during supernatural experiences such as dreams, visions, transportations back and forward in time and these experiences are not uncommon.

Many Christians visiting John Wesley’s (1703 –1791) home in England, tell that when they enter in his prayer closet, that they experience the presence of God!

     Portals Established Over Individuals

Portals can also be established over a person life as we find over Jesus’ life.

And He *said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” Jn. 1:51

“Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened,” Lk. 3:21

“While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, ‘This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”’ Mat. 17:5

“After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove {and} lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” Mat. 3:16-17

    Apostle John

heavenly ladderWhile John was in exile on the isle of Patmos, a portal opened and he began to receive great mysteries of things to come.  This is a great example of a portal, door or ancient gate opening between the third heaven  and a great example of how God uses a portal to establish revelation of His mysteries to man.

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door {standing} open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like {the sound} of a trumpet speaking with me, said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”’ Rev 4:1

“And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, ‘Come up here.’ Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.”’ Rev. 11:12

“And I saw heavenopened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it {is} called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. “ Rev. 19:11

    Maria Woodworth-Etter

There have been several ministries throughout history where God established a portal over a person, and when they ministered, revival s with signs and wonders occurred with the presence of God filling the church or even the region such as Maria Woodworth-Etter (1844–1924).

     Today’s Relevance

In Zechariah 3, Joshua the high priest was clothed in filthy garments, standing before an angel, and the angel said, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” The angel declares that the iniquity has been taken away from Joshua and he is now clothed in festival garments and then a clean turban is placed upon his head.

Then in Zech. 3:7 Joshua is given charge to the Lord’s court and free access to those standing there.

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing {here.}   ‘Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friendswho are sitting in front of you–indeed they are men who are a symbol, for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the Branch (Jesus).” Zech. 3:7-8

     Heavenly Access

Christians have been granted access through Jesus Christ to come boldly before the throne of God.

Paul wrote about the access to the Father by Jesus in Ephesians, “For through Him we both have our accessin one Spirit to the Father.” Eph 2:18 says, “In whom we have boldness and confident accessthrough faith in Him.” Eph. 3:12

While reading Daniel 12:3-4 a few weeks ago, the Holy Spirit flashed inside my spirit understanding of a hidden mystery in the above two verses of scripture.

The context of Daniel 12 is dealing with the times which we are in now. The book was written for our time and as Daniel 12:9 Daniel is told to go his way for the words are sealed up until the end time. Verse 3 speaks of those Christians who have insight and those who will lead many to righteousness and will shine brightly like expanse of the heavens and the stars forever!

“Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.  But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Dan. 12:3-4

    How Did They Get Insight?

mysteriesIn Daniel 12:4 the mystery is revealed, “Many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

The back and forth speaks of believers experiencing open gates, ancient doors or portals between the third heaven and earth. Much insight in the last days will come from angels descending to believers or believers ascending to heaven and thus knowledge will increase.

The context of these two verses is, that in the last days God will raise up some believers who will bring much revelatory insight to the body of Christ and to the world for the gathering in of the saints and lost souls.

Much of this personal revelation will be revealed when the gates of heaven open to people and they are taught mysteries such as what is holding back revival from happening in our churches, cities and regions of the earth. There will be individuals who minister under a portal or open heaven and carry a heavy anointing upon their lives, and wherever they travel, revival will break out, miracles occur and a great harvest of end-time souls will be won to God.

By open portal encounters, Biblical understanding of the scriptures will come, bringing clarity to the meaning of the verses, thus bringing correction to errant doctrines in some doctrinal areas in the church today, at least to those who are willing to accept truth.  Indeed, some saints are already experiencing these open heaven encounters and speak and write about them today.

Paul Caught Up Through a Portal

Paul experienced great revelation just as spoken by the prophet Daniel in chapter 12:3-4. Paul heard such inexpressible words that he knew he was not permitted to speak.

“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago–whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows–such a man was caught up to the third heaven.  And I know how such a man–whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak.”  2Cor. 12:2-4

     In Summary

If you read the verses of Psalm 24:7, it speaks of the King coming in or coming down through the ancient gate or door and as Daniel 12:3-4 records “back and forth” of believers in third heaven experiences.  “Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!” Ps. 24:7

In Psalm 118:19-20 the scriptures speak of the believer entering in, “Open to me the gates of righteousness; I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD; The righteous will enter through it.” Ps. 118:19-20

I strongly believe that as the body of Christ, that we don’t seek portals or gates or even to minister under an open heaven.  We do seek God with all our hearts, and it is by our continually seeking Him, and being faithful to His house, that portals may be established at God’s discretion for His purpose and glory.

  • When the Storms Come

So what is the truth about storms that come into our lives and how does God fit into these situations?

Its human nature that when a storm approaches, we want it to go around us or when we’re in the storm we want it to stop and be calm again like before the storm. God knows that the storms in life will cause us to grow in Him. It’s like the body builder lifting weights; it’s the resistance of the weight that is making him stronger and stronger each day he works out. And so it is with the storms that come in our life, as we stand and weather out the storms we get stronger and stronger.

Jesus taught us that there are two foundations to build upon, one is rock and the other is sand. He went on to say “And when the storms come, the house that is built on the rock will stand.” There is a great emphasis on “when” the storms come, not “if” the storms come. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and {yet} it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.” Mat. 7:25  Over a year ago, the Father gave me a revelation on one of His secrets dealing with the storms of life.

One morning in my quiet time I heard the Father say “I give you a three day fast.” That’s all He said and that was all I needed to hear, I immediately accepted the fast and began to notice that during this time, I was never hungry or cared about food. I didn’t have to avoid being around others when they were eating or cooking, it just didn’t bother me.

Exactly at high-noon on the second day, I was in meditation and I saw a vision of a beautiful nebulous which was pink ion color like one of those NASA images from the Hubbel telescope. I heard His voice say; “You are half-way there.” I knew this voice was speaking about the fast I was currently on, and by the clock and the calendar, I had indeed been fasting exactly one and one half days. I didn’t know why I was fasting but I knew at the end of the three days it would be revealed. This was a supernatural fast and as I said before, during the three days I didn’t get hungry or crave food even while my wife was cooking or eating her meals. When I completed this fast, Holy Spirit gave me Psalms 107-23-31 and Matthew 8:23-28 and said, “They are the same event!” The, He said, “I also created the storm as well”.

“Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters; they have seen the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep. For He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; their soul melted away in {their} misery. They reeled and staggered like a drunken man, and were at their wits’ end. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet, so He guided them to their desired haven”. Psalms 107:23-31

“And when He was entered into a ship, His disciples followed Him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He was asleep. And his disciples came to [Him], and awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And He saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him! And when He was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes”. Mat. 8:23-27

What is the Father saying here? He’s saying that while Jesus was asleep, Jesus spoke to the sea and Jesus called up the storm to be with its winds and rain that tossed the boat and caused the disciples such distress.

When you are asleep, your spirit man is awake; He’s always awake. I have many experiences while asleep where my spirit man is speaking forth the word, declaring in ways that I understand and that I don’t have the natural ability to perform. There have been times where I was sitting in a desk in a heavenly classroom, being taught secrets by Jesus all night without even remembering what was said the next morning. On two occasions my spirit man left my body to engage in spiritual warfare with various spirits in the earth. The bible has many stories where a particular person’s spirit man was awake and in ministry while asleep through a dream, a vision in the night or caught up in the spirit.

My wife and I were on a cruise and I experienced an occurrence.  I had completed twelve weeks and was in the thirteenth week of a “Holy Ghost school” that the Lord had instructed me to do, in which I was to get up and be in quiet time from 3:00 -6:00 AM, 5 days a week.

I read the all the prophets in the Old Testament, prayed and then I would lie down and meditate the last thirty minutes of my allotted time. Now while on this cruise, during my sleep, I heard my spirit man declare, “You are the light of the world!” It had all the force of the Godhead behind that statement it seemed. Suddenly, in a flash, all the cabin lights came on in a brilliant display of power and light. We sat up in bed startled, blinded and with few words to say. I didn’t tell my wife until the next morning what really happened in the spirit when the lights came on.

What the Lord is teaching us here is that the storm which so frightened the disciples came to them by the power of God, not by Satan, as most people have been taught to believe. How can we can believe that Jesus calms the storms but not that He can cause the storms to blow in our lives to test our faith?  Jesus said, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” It’s safe to say that God allows everything to come into our life except sin and sickness.

The disciples marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey Him?”

Christian are living lives today in which they are trying to avoid the storms in life, and when they encounter them they want the storms to stop. We’ll stand up railing at the devil for this and for that, rebuking him thoroughly, when in fact, God has allowed the storm to blow into our life. Such storms show our frailty and make us turn to God in an amazing way, and during these events God allows us to be sculptured into something beautiful in His eyes. When your faith and will are being tested, know that there is a sculpture at work in your life. The sculpture may take the form of a person or even a group of people that God will use to chisel away all that doesn’t look like Jesus.

Some storms that come into your life may not have anything to do with you at all, but are about the other people involved. Once again God doesn’t bring sin or sin-related illness on anyone to teach us, but He will allow all manner of situations to come our way in different packages to teach us certain things.

I was in a situation a few years ago in which the company I was working was bought out by another company. Months before the new owner began to replace my management team with theirs, I knew my life was about to change in a really big way. I knew I was in trouble, I was heading into a storm and there wasn’t anything I could do about it.

I wanted to run, but I sensed God had some things He wanted to teach me. I knew I had to weather through the storm and learn now, the first time around the mountain, so I didn’t have to go around again and again. I am pleased to say I did learn what God wanted to teach me and in the process the Kingdom won a great victory in my obedience to stay in the storm and weather it out until it was over. It lasted about nine months but eventually, I was delivered safely to my destination, I made it to shore! I passed the test and I am a stronger, more stable, more effective Christian today because of it. I learned in a few months what many Christian never grasp hold of in a life time, for in the storm we press into God, and we cry out to survive.

An immature Christian only wants to get delivered from the storm, and as soon as he does, he soon goes right back to the way he was living before. The word says “My people perish because of lack of knowledge because they reject knowledge.” Hosea 4:6

There’s no short cut with God, if you quit at any phase in your walk and later come back to God, you will start right up where you left off. You must complete every part of the exams before you’re fully qualified. Indeed, when you have been fully tested, tried, battle hardened, purged, purified and refined, and then you will be as His bridegroom. (Dan. 11:35, Dan. 12:10, Rev. 19:7-9)

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that whenHeappears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 1 John 3:2
