Walking In the Supernatural

I believe it is natural for Christians to walk in the supernatural and to do it without being weird or flaky! Unfortunately, many don't understand nor do they try to understand the supernatural of God. The supernatural isn't something we should be afraid of but it is who God is. He isn't like us! He is Spirit.

A seer isn't something you go seeking or achieve for that is impossible with God. A seer is born a seer just as a prophet is born a prophet and that is for the purpose of speaking forth the mysteries of God. When a seer is called forth, he will have had an encounter with God which initiates the walk of the seer. Often the seer doesn't eve realize that this is who they are for quiet some time. I didn't realize it until another man prophesied over me many years later. This was a key word or an "ahha" moment. It help explain some things which I had experienced earlier in my life.

My mother told me on several occasions when I was born that there was an angelic presence which came into the delivery room that she didn't experience during prior births. As a child a had glimpses of knowing things that there was no way of knowing. When I was seven years old I was kicking a football in the backyard. On one kick it landed in the field next to our fence and in a vision I saw a vision of an 1895 Liberty V nickle and heard a voice that said "1895 Liberty V nickle". I have never heard of anything but a buffalo head nickle. But I saw it and I knew it was under that football. So I ran over to where th football had landed and picked up the football looking to see the nickle. Sure enough, just as God has show me it was there. I picked it up and ran in the house to show my mother the unique nickle. I explained to her exactly what had happened and ask her what is all this about. She just looked at me and said "I don't know son…I don't know".

In that same open field I heard voices carring on a conversation but I couldn't comprehend what was being said.  I went from one side of the field to the other in an attempt to locate the source of the voices. When I got to one side of the field the voices sounded like they were coming from the other end of the field. I kept trying for some time before giving up my pursuit. Later in life I discovered I was hearing with my spiritual ears in the supernatural.

In 1974 while on a trip with some friends to Boulder, Colorado, we got stranded in Colorado Springs, Colorado due to a severe snow storm just as we entered the city. We were forced to spend the night and wait until the pass between Colorado Springs and Boulder was cleared. I woke up the next morning which just happened to be Easter Sunday and went to the window to look out at the snow.  The snow covered the mountains so beautifully but suddenly I saw an open vision of blood running down the mountain. I heard a voice whisper into my right ear “Jesus Christ whiter than snow”. I quickly closed the curtains so as not to see the blood of Christ flowing down the mountain. I knew I had just had an encounter with God.

On the following Tuesday after work I was in the backyard of my parent’s home where I had grown up. Suddenly a very powerful presence came into the yard approaching me from my immediate right. It got stronger and stronger by the second. It was so holy; it was the righteousness of God. I knew immediately I was a sinner. I dropped to my knees and gave my life to Christ right then and there. As soon as I did the presence left the yard the same way it had come in. No one had to preach a word nor did anyone have to lead me in the sinner's prayer. As I wrote this update to this "About" I just realized that where I received Christ was the exact same place where I had seen the vision of the 1895 Liberty V nickel 14 years earlier. God had just connected the dots perhaps?

Like prophets, the seer has a key role to play in equipping of the body of Christ for the times which we are in. Where there is no vision the people perish. The seer/prophet can bring the message given by God so the body has better understanding what the Spirit is saying for the times they're in. I strongly feel there has not been a more critical time than now to know what God is saying to the believer.  Unfortunately, many in church leadership reject the function of the seer/prophet choosing rather to continue down the same old beaten down agenda. Today there may not be one true seer/prophet functioning within the circles of organized religion. However, Christ will have His bride and the seer/prophet will play a key role in preparing her for the coming of the Lord. The seer will show the her the "Way of the bride and the path to the wedding" in these last years of the age.

I challenge you to stretch your faith and understanding in God. I have walked without God and with Him and I tell you that walking with Him is far better. I told God that I would serve Him if He would be supernatural, exciting and fun in my life. I am glad to say that He has more than lived up to my expectations.

Jesus trained his senses to sense the virtue flow to the woman with the issue of blood. We should also be ever seeking to be like Jesus and ask God to train our senses as well. It's part of growing up from being a baby in Christ to becoming an effective warrior.

"For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil." Heb. 5:13-14

God likes to demonstrate His wonders to His children! In fact I have a very personal relationship with God. We have become close friends, closer than a brother. He shares secrets with me from time to time. I have found Him to be the most beautiful, loving, kindest, gentle, caring person I have ever known.
